Trump’s most ardent defenders have disappeared from the airwaves as his campaign flounders: report

According to a report from the Daily Beast, defenders of Donald Trump have all but disappeared from the cable news networks at a time when his campaign is floundering and he needs all the help he can get.

Dating back to his surprise election in 2016, MSNBC and CNN had no problem booking guests to defend Trump, but now many of those same people are no longer seen for reasons that include being banned for comments they made, or, in the case of more than a few, they have turned on the president.

Not to mention the Mega-Donors to his 2016 campaign that have wandered off as his mania became apparent! Even the Chamber of Commerce board has backed BIden!

After the RNC last week was out classed by America's Got Talent and Trump's acceptance Rant was out polled by BIden's rebuttle!

Republicans in disarray is not only trending but becoming the norm.

These 5 Trump epic failures illustrate how America is in decline

The transformation is underway

The five epic failures of the contemporary United States under the Trump regime are:

1. Out-of-control U.S. fiscal and monetary policies

2. The rise of the police state

3. An inadequate and ineffective health care system

4. A rapidly degrading environment and

5. A deteriorating infrastructure.

These failures are also among the classic characteristics of a developing nation. It cannot satisfy any American, regardless of partisan stripe, that they constitute five epic failures for the Trump Administration.

Now Trump is attacking the electoral basis of the Republic, how much more is needed to have him "up against the Wall?"

‘The fix is in’: Internet hits the panic button after Trump intel head refuses to meet with Dems on election security

News that Donald Trump’s Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe has informed Congressional lawmakers that he will no longer provide them with one-on-one briefings to discuss ongoing election security issues was met with outrage on Twitter on Saturday afternoon with many speculating it is part of Donald Trump’s plan to steal the election.

Donald Trump is now reveling in his lawlessness

Just as many political analysts never really internalized the disconnect between Trump’s approval rating and the state of the economy before it crashed, they don’t appear to understand that a modest backlash against the Black Lives Matter movement among white people isn’t sending them into Trump’s arms. At least not so far.

But it may also be that he’s no better positioned to sell himself as a candidate who will uphold the law than he is a guy who will provide stability and order. He heads a lawless regime that isn’t trying to hide it. In fact, Trump is reveling in it. According to The New York Times, “Mr. Trump’s aides said he enjoyed the frustration and anger he caused by holding a political event on the South Lawn of the White House, shattering conventional norms and raising questions about ethics law violations. He relished the fact that no one could do anything to stop him,” according to the report.

Rep. Schiff On Trump’s Disregard Of Hatch Act: ‘Lawlessness Is The Point’

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) says violations of the Hatch Act during the Republican National Convention proves Donald Trump is “proud of his lawlessness.” He talks with Katy Tur about what Congress needs to do to “curb these kind of violations of law and norm of office.”

‘His politics are appalling’: Mnuchin family disgusted by Steve’s fealty to Trump

In a deep dive into Steve Mnuchin’s past — and his present as Secretary of the Treasury — family members expressed dismay and disgust over his relationship with Donald Trump, including Mnuchin’s own father who teared up when asked about the path his son has taken.

According to the report from the New York Times, Mnuchin sought out a position in the Trump administration, personally lobbying the president by sharing his history in high finance that made him a wealthy man.

According to the report, a recent encounter at an art gallery between Mnuchin’s father, Robert, and a local artist led to the elder Mnuchin to criticize his son.

“One day last year, Howard Saunders encountered Robert Mnuchin at the Matthew Marks art gallery in Manhattan. The two strangers — Mr. Saunders an artist, Mr. Mnuchin a prominent gallery owner and art dealer — struck up a conversation,” the Times reports. “It turned awkward when Mr. Saunders realized he was speaking to the Treasury secretary’s father. Sounding disgusted, Mr. Saunders asked Mr. Mnuchin about his son. The elder Mr. Mnuchin appeared pained. ‘His politics appall me, too, really appall me,’ he replied, according to Mr. Saunders. ‘But he’s my son.'”

Poor Dad, realizing he'd raised an racist opportunist!:(

‘Troubling’: Experts fear Trump’s ‘October surprise’ could hurt America’s public health ‘for generations to come’

Public health experts on Saturday decried the Food and Drug Administration’s “troubling” approval of a Covid-19 treatment which has not been proven to help patients who are severely ill with the disease.

The FDA expanded its emergency authorization on remdesivir on Friday evening, allowing its use for all patients who are hospitalized with Covid-19. Previously, the drug had been approved—and shown to benefit—only patients who are not ill enough to require the use of a ventilator.

Remdesivir has been shown to improve recovery time for patients who require oxygen but not ventilation, but has not been shown to save lives in the sickest patients, according to data from the New England Journal of Medicine.

“It seems to be a pattern of approval without science, without data, without evidence,” Eric Topol, vice president for research at Scripps Research in La Jolla, California, told USA Today.

Earlier this week, Topol expressed “horror” at claims made by Hahn and President Donald Trump about the efficacy of convalescent plasma in treating the coronavirus. Hahn later apologized publicly for overstating the benefits of plasma from patients who have recovered from Covid-19.

“Bending to Trump White House pressure will only harm trust in the longtime venerable institution and hurt public health for generations to come.”

Donald Trump’s attacks on the US Post Office have blown up in his face in spectacular fashion:

Donald Trump’s attempts to curtail mail-in voting by having his Postmaster General interfere with U.S. Post Office operations is having the unintended effect of filling the coffers of Democratic candidates who will be on the ballot in November.

According to a report from the Daily Beast, at least one hundred Democrats currently running for office have used the uproar over postal interruptions in their emails to supporters designed to rake in contributions — and it is working.

“It’s huge—every single client has been trying to capitalize on it,” explained one Democratic strategist before adding, “It’s rare you get an issue where every candidate, whether they’re a Blue Dog or very liberal, is so aligned on this.”

Responding to fears that the postal interference will cripple mail-in voting, Democratic donors are ponying up for to oust Republicans in 2020.

Rod Rosenstein secretly crippled the Mueller investigation

Federal Bureau of Don't-Investigate Donnie??

According to a report from the New York Times, former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein had a hand in limiting the scope of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into ties between Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and the Russians by secretly curtailing an FBI counterintelligence probe.

The report from Michael Schmidt of the Times begins by stating, “The Justice Department secretly took steps in 2017 to narrow the investigation into Russian election interference and any links to the Trump campaign, according to former law enforcement officials,” before adding, “But law enforcement officials never fully investigated Mr. Trump’s own relationship with Russia, even though some career F.B.I. counterintelligence investigators thought his ties posed such a national security threat that they took the extraordinary step of opening an inquiry into them.”

Maskless Trump says there hasn’t been one complaint about government’s Hurricane Laura response

Lake Charles (United States) (AFP) – President Donald Trump on Saturday visited Louisiana and Texas, pummeled this week by Hurricane Laura though the storm did not inflict the catastrophic damage and death toll of Hurricane Katrina 15 years ago.Wearing a red “USA” cap, Trump landed in Lake Charles, a Louisiana city of 80,000 people that’s home to petroleum refineries and chemical plants near the Gulf of Mexico. The president — not wearing a mask despite the coronavirus epidemic in the United States — toured a neighborhood with downed trees and damaged houses, as well as a warehouse.

Oopsie!

Weeping hurricane victim goes on Fox News to personally beg Trump: ‘The food is gone in 30 minutes’

The owner of a bridal shop in Lake Charles, Louisiana excoriated the federal government’s hurricane response on Sunday.

During an appearance on Fox News, Victoria Huber explained that the business of her dreams had been destroyed by storms that recently hit the area.

“Our community is in dire need right now,” she told Fox News host Arthel Neville. “What we see now is the worst disaster that I think Louisiana has ever seen. They’re telling us it could be up to four weeks without water. We have no water. We have no electricity. There’s no N95 masks for people to get into their homes to try to save anything that’s left.”

‘It’s you who have created the hate and the division’: Portland mayor unleashes on Donald Trump for MAGA creating violence

Another shooting during a political rally happened Saturday evening while President Donald Trump’s MAGA members flooded the streets of Portland, Oregon.

The area had already been cleared by police, the police chief reported during a press conference Sunday detailing the specifics about the event.

But it was Mayor Ted Wheeler who went after President Donald Trump.

“One death is one death too many. Join me by denouncing all violence,” he said. “Yesterday’s event began with hundreds of cars filled with supporters of the president rallying and driving through downtown Portland. They were supported and energized by the president himself. President Trump, for four years, we have had to live with you and your racist attacks on Black people. We learned early about your sexist attitudes towards women. We’ve had to endure clips of you mocking a disabled man. We’ve had to listen to your anti-democratic attacks on journalists. We have read your tweets slamming private citizens to the point of receiving death threats, and we have listened to the attacks on immigrants. We have listened to you label Mexicans rapists. We’ve heard you say that John McCain wasn’t a hero because he was a prisoner of war, and now you’re attacking Democratic mayors and the very institutions of democracy that have served this nation well since its founding.”

Trump loses it after Portland mayor blames him for violence before issuing a threat ‘he hasn’t seen anything yet’

President Donald Trump lashed out at Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler on Twitter Sunday afternoon as he blamed the president for perpetuating violence among his supporters.

“Ted Wheeler, the wacky Radical Left Do Nothing Democrat Mayor (sic) of Portland, who has watched great death and destruction of his City (sic) during his tenure, thinks this lawless situation should go on forever,” tweeted the president. “Wrong! Portland will never recover with a fool for a Mayor… He tried mixing with the Agitators and Anarchists and they mocked him. He would like to blame me and the Federal Government for going in, but he hasn’t seen anything yet. We have only been there with a small group to defend our U.S. Courthouse, because he couldn’t do it….The people of Portland, like all other cities & parts of our great Country, want Law & Order. The Radical Left Democrat Mayors, like the dummy running Portland, or the guy right now in his basement unwilling to lead or even speak out against crime, will never be able to do it!”

Trump’s convention failed to hand him the big poll bounce he needs: CNN analyst

Donald Trump failed to get the big bounce he needed in the polls after the Republican National Convention, writes CNN election analyst Harry Enten, which is putting pressure on the sitting president’s campaign to find a new path to victory.

The four evening’s worth of proceedings televised on national TV that started with a widely mocked appearance by Trump advocate Kimberly Guilfoyle — who is dating the president’s son — and ended with the president giving a rambling acceptance speech on the lawn at the White House. failed to move the needle in any appreciable way Enten suggested.

“If later polling data confirms this early evidence, a Trump victory hinges on him becoming the first incumbent in over 70 years to come from behind after trailing following the major party conventions,” he wrote before adding, “Trump’s favorable rating stood at 32% in an Ipsos’ poll last week. Today, after the Republican National Convention, it stands at 31%.”

Smear merchant who swiftboated John Kerry comes to Trump’s rescue as campaign flounders:

A Republican campaign consultant who led the “Swift Boat Veterans” smear on former Secretary of State John Kerry during his run for the presidency is making plans to come to Donald Trump’s rescue as his re-election campaign flounders.

According to a report from Politico, Chris LaCivita will head up the Preserve America PAC that is expected to spend close to $30 million to prop up the president with a substantial chunk of the money coming from longtime Republican supporters like Las Vegas casino owner Sheldon Adelson and Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus.

As Politico’s Alex Isenstadt notes, “The move comes as Republicans express mounting concern over the drubbing Trump has been taking on TV. The president in August went dark in several battleground states and in Wisconsin was outspent more than eight to one, according to the media tracking firm Advertising Analytics. In Florida, Trump was outpaced by Biden more than three to one.”

The Rat Fucking Continues!
Will the Dem's take advantage of this and use Trumps own word Salad to point out his hypocrisy? Take almost any Trump pronouncement in the last four years and then show how Trump was wrong, silly or stupid. Explain how Trump caused the pandemic to be worse by his ignoring science, so he didn't look so bad. Point out his"Tremendous Health Care Plan" doesn’t exist!

‘Bad news for the White House’: Morning Joe panelists explain why Trump melted down over the weekend

Panelists on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” pondered the reasons for President Donald Trump’s weekend Twitter meltdown.

New polling shows the president’s approval rating had fallen even further behind Joe Biden’s since the conventions ended, and host Joe Scarborough asked the Rev. Al Sharpton whether that had freaked Trump out.

“Clearly Joe Biden [is] rising with approval and the president coming down is bad news for the White House, no matter how they spin it,” Scarborough said. “They’re now playing this, we’re in survival mode, trying to spin it as if this is some advancement. The thing that I observed, Joe, over the weekend, we had the big march in Washington Friday, which was probably the biggest civil rights march in the last several years.”

31% approval rating! Try getting re-elected with 31% Trumpie!:D:D:D:D

These voters wouldn’t support Hillary Clinton in 2016 — but now they’ve lined up behind Joe Biden

One of the bigger differences in polling between the 2016 and 2020 elections is that fewer voters appear to be supporting third-party candidates in either the Green Party or the Libertarian Party.

And as recent polling from NBC News indicates, voters who supported third-party candidates such as Green Party candidate Jill Stein and Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson four years ago are now telling pollsters that they’re backing Democratic nominee Joe Biden over President Donald Trump by roughly a two-to-one margin this year.

“Forty-seven percent say they’re voting for Biden, 20 percent are supporting Trump, and 33 percent are unsure or say they’re backing another candidate,” NBC News reports.

This is significant, according to NBC, because “in 2016, Trump won Michigan by 10,704 votes, while the combined Johnson/Stein vote was 223,599” — meaning that Biden would be on track to win Michigan this year if he holds onto his current margin among Stein-Johnson voters.

Third party voters couldn't support Hillary, but Biden is not only "Not Trump" but also "Not Hillary!"
Trump is falling behind in Florida and even in Texas! There may be a Blue Wave in Arizona!!! THe Senate is in danger of becoming a Democratic functioning organ again! I don't think the KKK can deliver for Trump this time!:D:D:D:D

‘Most dangerous period since the Civil War’: Conservative warns the GOP has become a crime cartel ruled by a failed casino owner

In response to the civil rights movement and Black America’s embrace of the Democratic Party, the Republican Party chose to make racism the centerpiece of their electoral strategy.

From the “Southern strategy” and Richard Nixon’s summoning of “law and order” to Ronald Reagan’s “welfare queens” and appeals to “states’ rights,” Willie Horton, the Tea Party and “birtherism” — and now to Donald Trump’s naked racial authoritarianism — racism and white supremacy have paid electoral dividends for the Republican Party and the conservative movement.

But this devil’s bargain rests upon a very slippery foundation: as the country’s racial demographics change from an absolute white majority toward one where white people are “just” a plurality as compared to Black and brown people, the Republican Party’s power as a de facto “whites only” party is imperiled.

Instead of responding to these changes by offering ideas and policies that would make the Republican Party more attractive to nonwhite (and other) voters, its leaders have chosen to embrace overt white supremacy in a desperate effort to make sure that white people (specifically white right-wing Christians) remain in control of every aspect of America’s social, political and economic life. In that way, Donald Trump and his white supremacist regime are both the apotheosis of the Republican Party’s full-on embrace of white supremacy and racial animus and also, perhaps, the source of the party’s ultimate self-destruction.

Die Rethuglicunts, DIE!

Racist, Fascist, Coronavirus-Denying President Surprisingly Unpopular

Republicans spent four days at the Republican National Convention lying to Americans and crafting a universe so removed from reality it might as well have had Hobbits. They pretended COVID-19 was all behind us now and it was safe to gather in large crowds, unmasked, so Rudy Giuliani could rub his gross sweat on you. They also claimed Donald Trump was an empathetic family man, which was the greatest lie of all and a harder illusion to maintain. The president publicly berated his niece, Mary, on Twitter Saturday.

An ABC News/Ipsos poll released Sunday had some bad news for Trump: The week-long lie parade didn't change anyone's opinion about him or his opponent, Joe Biden.

Trump's week of celebration did not improve his favorability, even among his own base, and the country still remains widely critical of his handling of the major crisis of his presidency: COVID-19.

Less than one-third (31%) of the country has a favorable view of the president in the days after he accepted the Republican nomination for the second time -- a stagnant reality for Trump. His favorability rating stood at 32% in the last poll, taken a week earlier, right after the Democratic National Convention.

It is hard to win elections when everyone hates you. Yes, Trump's approval ratings were also underwater in 2016, but he was running against Hillary Clinton, who the right had smeared non-stop for decades. Clinton was also a woman, which unfortunately helped the slander and lies stick in the minds of white swing voters. Biden is not nearly as loathed or distrusted. The poll puts Biden's favorability at 46 percent, a 15-point advantage over Trump. Biden's favorability has also steadily increased in the past couple weeks while Trump's has remained stagnant. The segment of the electorate that admires presidents who bully their nieces is rather small.

Poor Donnie will be tweeting all week how Unfair it is to be Trump!

Wisconsin Governor, Portland Mayor Beg Trump To Stay Away, Stop Making Sh*t Worse

However, no one wants Trump to go to Kenosha, least of all Democratic Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers. In a letter addressed to the White House, Governor Evers begged Trump to reconsider his plans to visit the city, saying he will only make things worse.

"I am concerned your presence will only hinder our healing," Evers wrote. "I am concerned your presence will only delay our work to overcome division and move forward together."

He added he is also concerned that an in-person visit from the president "will require a massive re-direction" of resources to support his visit "at a time when it is critical that we continue to remain focused on keeping the people of Kenosha safe and supporting the community's response." [...]

"Kenosha and communities across Wisconsin are enduring extraordinary grief, grappling with a Black man being shot seven times and the loss of two additional lives Tuesday night at the hands of an out-of-state armed militant," Evers wrote in the letter to Trump.

"It is our job as elected officials to lead by example and to be a calming presence for the people we know are hurting, mourning, and trying to cope with trauma," he continued. "Now is not the time for divisiveness. Now is not the time for elected officials to ignore armed militants and out-of-state agitators who want to contribute to our anguish."

Trump's deputy press secretary Judd Deere responded to the letter by saying that Trump couldn't wait to come and was "humbled" by all of the "individuals from Kenosha" who can't wait to see him.

Note to Evers: Just don't redirect any resources to support Trump's visit. Make his folks handle it all.

Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman spent millions turning Trump into his ‘lapdog’: book excerpt

According to an excerpt from an upcoming book on the growing influence of Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman reveals how the heir to the throne spent millions of dollars wooing Donald Trump to gain preferential treatment after gaining access through the president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.

In the book, Blood and Oil: Mohammed bin Salman’s Ruthless Quest for Global Power by Wall Street Journal correspondents Bradley Hope and Justin Scheck, Trump is portrayed as someone who is easily swayed by praise and was manipulated by the Saudi prince who treated — and feted — the American president like a king.

Fluffing Trump always works! Mushroom dicked Donnie needs fluffing constantly!:)

How a Plan to Save the Power System Disappeared

On August 14, 2018, Joshua Novacheck, a 30-year-old research engineer for the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory, was presenting the most important study of his nascent career. He couldn’t have known it yet, but things were about to go very wrong.

At a gathering of experts and policy makers in Lawrence, Kansas, Novacheck was sharing the results of the Interconnections Seam Study, better known as Seams. The Seams study demonstrated that stronger connections between the U.S. power system’s massive eastern and western power grids would accelerate the growth of wind and solar energy—hugely reducing American reliance on coal, the fuel contributing the most to climate change, and saving consumers billions. It was an elegant solution to a complicated problem.

Democrats in Congress have recently cited NREL’s work to argue for billions in grid upgrades and sweeping policy changes. But a study like Seams was politically dangerous territory for a federally funded lab while coal-industry advocates—and climate-change deniers—reign in the White House. The Trump administration has a long history of protecting coal companies, and unfortunately for Novacheck, a representative was sitting in the audience during the talk: Catherine “Katie” Jereza, then a deputy assistant secretary in the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Electricity.

Jereza fired off an email to DOE headquarters—before Novacheck had even finished speaking, according to sources who viewed the email—raising an alarm about Seams’ anti-coal findings. That email ignited an internal firestorm. According to interviews with five current and former DOE and NREL sources, supported by more than 900 pages of documents and emails obtained by InvestigateWest through Freedom of Information Act requests and by additional documentation from industry sources, Trump officials would ultimately block Seams from seeing the light of day. And in doing so, they would set back America’s efforts to slow climate change.

A nearly impermeable electrical “seam” divides America’s eastern and western power grids. These giant pools of alternating current on either side of the Rockies contain a total of 950 gigawatts of power generation by thousands of power plants. (A third grid serves Texas.) But only a little over one gigawatt can cross between them. Western-grid power plants in Colorado send bulk power more than 1,000 miles away to California, for example, but merely a trickle across the seam to its next-door neighbor Nebraska. That separation raises power costs, and makes it hard to share growing surpluses of environmentally friendly wind and solar power. And years of neglect have left the grids—and the few connections between them—overloaded and ill-prepared to transition to highly variable renewable energy.

But Trumpinistas leaped thru their asses and suppressed the ideas because it would close coal plants up even faster! The Dark Lords demand thier coal continue to kill miners pollute the air and water, because sunk costs need to be amortized!:eek::eek:
