Evil twin of America, America's Clone- Trump's Alternate Universe

U.S. Counselor to Presiderp Trum-Trup, Kellyanne Conway caused another crack
to fracture the margin between reality and fantasy

iceberg image- cracks & fractures

Trump's effort to wear down resistance- He constantly victimized Hillary, wore out her name
Success! His lies convinced many to have a negative reaction to her.

Sean Spicer, Trump's official liar to The People, failed at his task to present convincing
pushback. He fell out of favor, and hid inside some bushes to give his last briefing to
the press. (Rumors that his plastic surgery for his face and hairline had not healed.)
(Rumors that Trump abused Sean after the failures, and called him too ugly and too fat
to be official Press Secretary)

Trump sends a stand-in for a duel over the Reality of the Crowd Numbers

(He could not argue against reality, himself ? Trump tends to blurt the quiet part, out loud)

The Park Service stands up for reality- and against Trump's lie

Anyone with reasonable eyesight could see that Trump's inauguration crowd was small,
and hardly any people attended his parade.

06/26/2017

One day after the inauguration, White House press secretary Sean Spicer lambasted
reporters in the briefing room and said, falsely, that Trump’s inaugural had drawn the
“largest audience ever to witness an inauguration, period.”

The Park Service became the target of Trump’s ire after its Twitter account retweeted
side-by-side images that appeared to show a paltry crowd for Trump’s inauguration
compared to former President Barack Obama.

The feud deepened when reports leaked of a phone call Trump placed the day after
the inauguration to Acting NPS Director Michael Reynolds in which the president
allegedly ordered the agency to produce images to help prove his claims of crowd
size.

The report confirmed that Trump did in fact contact Reynolds by phone on Jan. 21
and “request photographs of the inauguration.” The NPS sent six pictures to the
White House, the report found.

The White House later hung a different picture of the inauguration crowd in the area
near the press room. The picture is incorrectly dated Jan. 21, 2017.

Trump sent Kellyanne Conway to enter into the battle over reality-

HUCK TODD: --I want to go back to a question that you continue to deflect.
Why was it necessary to send out the press secretary on his first day in office
to utter a provable falsehood that now calls into question everything the press
secretary say-- will say from--

KELLYANNE CONWAY: No it doesn't.

CHUCK TODD: --here on out? It will--

KELLYANNE CONWAY: No it doesn't.

CHUCK TODD: --for many Americans.

KELLYANNE CONWAY: No it doesn't. You want them to hear that. You want them t
o hear that I'm not answering your questions, which I'm doing.

You want them to hear that they can't trust our press secretary. I think that it is a very--

CHUCK TODD: What was the motive then?

KELLYANNE CONWAY: --dangerous statement to make.

CHUCK TODD: What was the motive to have this ridiculous litigation of crowd size?

KELLYANNE CONWAY: And now you're casting it--

CHUCK TODD: What was the motive?

KELLYANNE CONWAY: --and your job is not to give your--

CHUCK TODD: What was the motive?

KELLYANNE CONWAY: --opinion, Chuck.
Respectfully, your job is not to call things ridiculous that are said by our press secretary
and our president. That's not your job. You're supposed to be a news person.
You're not an opinion columnist.

CHUCK TODD: Can you please answer the question? Why did he do this?
You have not answered it.

KELLYANNE CONWAY: I'll answer--

CHUCK TODD: It's only one question.

KELLYANNE CONWAY: --it this way. I'll answer it this way.
Think about what you just said to your viewers. That's why we feel compelled
to go out and clear the air and put alternative

(facts)

CHUCK TODD: So it's a political tactic?

KELLYANNE CONWAY: (alternative)--facts out there.

"That's why we feel compelled to go out and (put the fog of lies, in front of the clear truth & facts)
and put alternative facts out there."
- Kellyanne Conway
January 22, 2017

CHUCK TODD: So it's a political tactic?

KELLYANNE CONWAY: (alternative)--facts out there.

CHUCK TODD: It's a political tactic to come up with alternative facts
and try to set up the press as your enemy?

KELLYANNE CONWAY: No I didn't say that at all. And that's not why I'm here in this building. I'm here because of all the provable, quantifiable facts, because of the devastation and destruction in our schools with our health care, in our economy, with our small business owners.

And yes, certainly-- with-- with terrorism, infrastructure. This guy is going to do so much in the first week. He's going to talk to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today about the Middle East, about Iran. He's going to end the week receiving Prime Minister Theresa May from the U.K. here. His first foreign leader to be received here.

They're going to help renegotiate U.S./U.K. trade. But you want to talk about things the media doesn't want to cover. You totally missed Brexit and Theresa May. You totally missed Trump's campaign. You want to talk about provable facts? You've missed it all along. America doesn’t really-- I mean, look, you got 14 percent approval rating in the media that you've earned. You want to push back on us. And yet you have a 14 percent--

CHUCK TODD: All I'm looking for is--

KELLYANNE CONWAY: --approval rating.

CHUCK TODD: --an answer to a simple question. You never answered why or the motivation of what was necessary about doing that yesterday.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...nway-ushered-in-the-era-of-alternative-facts/

False equivaent-

Trump's enablers set up a situation, to trap the press into reporting something they
could not prove through recorded audio, video, or still photographs, or multiple
witnesses- A sculpture of Martin Luther King had been moved from from its
place of honor, a reporter noticed. Inside a cabinet, inside a closet ? In the next room ?
Into storage ? Behind the door that they reporter had peeked through ? Hidden by the
Marine, guarding the room ? No one in the White House would say. What they did do,
is call the reporter a liar.

KELLYANNE CONWAY: --we were lied about with the MLK bust.

CHUCK TODD: --is ridiculous. And I did not say--

KELLYANNE CONWAY: You don't think--

CHUCK TODD: --anything about ML-- you’re defl-- look, you're deflecting in order to--

KELLYANNE CONWAY: NBC covered that fa-- NBC covered that false report.

CHUCK TODD: --avoid to answer the question.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...nway-ushered-in-the-era-of-alternative-facts/

Therefore, Trump is justified in telling lies to the public, because the joke
that they played on a reporter was successful- at the least, Trump's office
claims victimhood.

Sean Spicer was Trump's original press secretary- December 22, 2016, Spicer
was named the White House press secretary for Donald Trump

KELLYANNE CONWAY: Don't be so overly dramatic about it, Chuck. What--
You're saying it's a falsehood. And they're giving Sean Spicer, our press secretary,
gave alternative facts to that. But the point remains--

CHUCK TODD: Wait a minute-- Alternative facts?

KELLYANNE CONWAY: --that there’s--

CHUCK TODD:Alternative facts?
Four of the five facts he uttered, the one thing he got right--

CHUCK TODD: --was Zeke Miller. Four of the five facts he uttered were
just not true. Look, alternative facts are not facts. They're falsehoods.

America has been set on fire with coronavirus, and Republicans insist on live rally

Protesters chant ‘No RNC in CLT’ during 2nd night of marching in uptown Charlotte

Late Saturday, the march re-entered uptown from South End via Caldwell Street.
Protesters arrived to a blocked road, with police officers wearing gear designed
for riot control. It was the first time in the night Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police
were seen in the gear reacting to demonstrations.

It’s unclear why the specialized CMPD unit was deployed. Their stay was brief
and the officers in riot gear were soon replaced by police officers on bicycles
but the move angered many protesters.

Throughout the night, officers on bicycles appeared to take positions strategically
to keep those marching away from the interstate, the Charlotte Convention Center
and the Westin hotel, where RNC meetings are underway.

Idaho Legislators And Cops Bend To Extremists Led By Ammon Bundy Invading Statehouse

August 23, 2020

The far right in Idaho—which seemingly now includes its state Legislature—has a rule:
Free speech for me, none for thee.

Protesters from the right are welcome with open arms, but protesters from the left
get thrown in jail.

That became manifest Monday in Boise when a horde of anti-COVID-19 restriction activists
led by antigovernment figure Ammon Bundy broke into the chambers of the Statehouse
Shoving their way past state troopers, pounding on doors, shouting and breaking doors
and windows along the way, and then invading committee hearing rooms.

Monday, Ammon Bundy and a horde of anti-COVID-19 restriction activists
pushed past state troopers, broke a glass door and filled both legislative galleries
and committee-hearing rooms

Not only was no one arrested, state officials decided to accommodate them.

It starkly contrasted with the scene a few years ago, when peaceful protesters seeking
equal rights for LGBTQ people were arrested en masse for standing silently in the halls
of the building.

Crooks and Liars

August 26, 2020

Ammon Bundy removed from Idaho Capitol twice in less than 24 hours. He’s banned for a year.

Arrested on Tuesday, refused to leave Lincoln Auditorium, out on bail, returned Wednesday
was seen in the Senate Gallery at the State House, and arrested, again, by the Idaho State
Police.

(He is still allowed to enter the building on official business.)

Monday-

House Minority Leader Ilana Rubel (D) was in her office on Monday when she heard
a deafening sound. She ran out to see dozens of protesters charging into the gallery
overlooking the floor of the House of Representatives — a group of protesters that
she said included Bundy.

The gallery had been cordoned off, Rubel said, to allow state lawmakers to remain
socially distanced rather than have members gather in large groups on the House
floor. But now the protesters had broken down the gallery door, ripped up signs
and pulled down the rope that was meant to reserve distanced seats for legislators.

Guards were charged, the gallery was overrun,” she said.

As protesters packed into the gallery and into committee rooms, lawmakers
expressed concern about the breakdown in efforts to curb the spread of the
coronavirus.

But even before the raucous demonstrations ensued, Rubel said, she was
concerned about the lack of effort for social distancing protocols in the
Capitol.

“There was no effort at all to distance, no masks, no nothing. It was taking on the look
of a super-spreader event,” she said. “The session overall, everywhere you looked
committee rooms were packed, really no effort to distance everybody."
"You would never guess there was a pandemic going on.”

Rubel said the protesters, some of whom she said were carrying firearms, appeared
to be objecting to measures taken to address the coronavirus crisis, including mask
orders, shutdowns and stay-at-home orders. She said, “One of the things people
were most agitated about was they were wanting to declare an end to the state of
emergency.”

During the Monday demonstration, Idaho House Speaker Scott Bedke (R)
eventually allowed protesters to stay in the House gallery and fill every seat.

“You and your team have doctored my words for your own political gain.

By late Sunday afternoon, Scalise had defended the video in a pair of tweets, suggesting
any talk of “redirecting” funds meant taking it away from law enforcement. But the rest
of the video, which accused Democrats of stoking unrest, contained other clips that had
been ripped from context.

August 31,2020

On Monday, a divided three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District
of Columbia Circuit issued an extraordinary ruling in a case involving former White
House counsel Donald McGahn, who is trying to avoid being forced to testify to
Congress. The ruling will likely be appealed and may go to the Supreme Court,
so it won’t yet have a direct practical effect.

But it is a notable case study illustrating two vitally important realities of this era.
It shows how President Trump and the Republican Party have turned the judiciary
into an arena of shameless partisan politics, and it reminds us of just how spectacularly
corrupt this president is.

The question at hand is whether Congress, when it issues a subpoena to the executive branch
can go to the courts to enforce it if the executive branch refuses to comply.

In the ruling Monday, two Republican-appointed judges said the answer is no.

If the ruling were to hold up, it would mean that no future president or his administration
would ever have to comply with a subpoena again. Those subpoenas — a critical part of
Congress’s ability to conduct oversight — would be effectively meaningless.
Every president could say, as Trump has, that they’ve decided that what they
do is none of Congress’s businesses, and that the legislative branch can go to
hell.

Jacob Blake's father calls out Trump's lie: 'We don't have a family pastor'
August 31, 2020

Jacob Blake continues his recovery in the hospital after being shot seven times in the back
by Kenosha, Wisconsin police.

Trump's White House angles to point the finger at outlier violence while condoning
violent murders by white supremacist vigilantes.

Jacob Blake Sr., Jacob Blake’s father, came on CNN Monday afternoon, along with the
family attorney Benjamin Crump, to discuss his son and the strange cowardice of Donald
Trump.

Trump has yet to speak with the Blake family. According to his father, Blake seems to be
getting better, but unfortunately he remains paralyzed from the waist down. When asked
about Donald Trump’s statement that he hadn’t wanted to be on the phone with the Blake
family while their family lawyer was also on the phone, but that Trump had spoken with
“the family pastor.”

Blake Sr. had this to say:
“First of all, I'm not going to play politics. This is my son's life we're talking about.
Second of all, we don't have a family pastor.”

Daily Kos

Trump, quoted-
"But I did speak with the pastor of the family, who’s a fine man, a wonderful man.
I think we had a great talk. And I may at some point, you know, do that but they did
have a lawyer that wanted to be on the phone.

Jacob Blake Sr. added that “we don’t have a family pastor” and doesn’t know
who the president talked to.

Benjamin Crump, attorney for the Blake family, said Blake’s mother and others were
trying to coordinate for a presidential call, but “the call never came.”

One White House official said that Trump was talking about Blake’s mother’s pastor.

Right Wing Nut Job Compares Mask-Mandate To Racial Oppression

Setember 8, 2020

Right-wing nutcase Dave Daubenmire is absolutely incensed that he is being told to
follow the same pandemic rules as everyone else in the nation.

Namely, several establishments over the course of this day he recorded this dumbf*ck
refused him entry unless he wore a mask. According to Right Wing Watch:

Daubenmire was furious because he had several confrontations the day before with
employees at various establishments over his steadfast refusal to wear a mask.
Recounting an argument he had with the manager of a T-Mobile store, Daubenmire
reportedly compared the store’s refusal to allow him into the store without a mask
to refusing to provide service to someone who is Black.

“I ain’t wearing no mask,” Daubenmire declared. “I know the mask doesn’t work, and
I’m not going to wear my mask to make the worker at T-Mobile feel better. I’m not
gonna do that. That’s bearing false witness.”

Okay, no, it’s not.

It’s not anything like bearing false witness. Isn’t this guy supposed to know

“I wanted always to play it down,” we now know Trump confessed to Woodward
on March 19. “I still like playing it down.”

The shock here isn’t that Trump was lying.

The shock is that Trump’s support will barely budge.

This story will rage for a few days,...

What matters isn’t this reality, but the fact that a rabid minority of our citizens have
become inoculated against it. They live in a cultish bubble of partisan propaganda
filled with protective buzz words and talking points, a hivemind fueled by rage,
paranoia and shame. For decades, right-wing media demagogues have made
billions of dollars exploiting their anguish.

(...)

Trump didn’t lead a movement in 2016. He merely inherited an audience that had
been vaccinated against unwelcome truths years ago.

On days like this, when we come face to face (yet again) with the catastrophic iniquity
of Trump, my mind turns to the description of Kurtz that Joseph Conrad offers in
"Heart of Darkness":

“I saw the inconceivable mystery of a soul that knew no restraint, no faith, and no fear,
yet struggling blindly with itself.”

More than that, I think about the forces that led us to award so much power to such
an empty man, and have induced so many of our public servants to ignore his abuses,
and sanction his lethal efforts to set us against one another.

Conrad was wise to that peril as well-
“Your strength,” he observed, “is just an accident arising from the weakness of others.”

There’s a big hole in Trump’s frantic spin about the Woodward revelations

September 19, 2020

- Greg Sargent

Faced with the damning revelation that President Trump admitted he downplayed
the coronavirus despite fully grasping the urgency of the threat-
he and his propagandists have settled on their counter-spin:
Trump was acting as a kind of modern-day FDR, sagely calming
the country to prevent an outbreak of self-destructive mass “panic.”

But there’s a serious problem with this account.

Trump and his defenders have fixated on the word “panic” in this quote,
which Trump gave to Bob Woodward on March 19:

Well I think Bob, really to be honest with you, I wanted to always play it down.
I still like playing it down, because I don’t want to create a panic."

Trump’s stated desire to avoid what he called a “panic” isn’t exonerating in the least.
In yet another wretched perversity, this excuse reflects a harsh light right back on the
same depravity, malevolence and incompetence that has characterized his mishandling
of the pandemic all along, with unthinkable consequences.

Even in seeking to avoid this panic, Trump was largely subverting the national interest
to his own. And as we now know, he did this regardless of the immense human toll
he fully understood it would all but certainly take.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opin...umps-frantic-spin-about-woodward-revelations/

It’s important to note that the increase in Trump’s estimate of how many might die
of the virus was inevitable.
- Philip Bump

For weeks, he unrealistically insisted that the toll would be well under 100,000,
perhaps as low as 50,000. Even on April 20, that was extremely unlikely, as we
wrote at the time.

The country passed 50,000 deaths on April 24 and 60,000 deaths on April 27,
according to data from Johns Hopkins University.

Update: Shortly after this article published, the New York Times reported that estimates
from the CDC put the daily toll even higher in the coming weeks, with daily new deaths
at or near 3,000 by June 1.

Trump’s assertion that the toll might land at 75,000 or 80,000 is similarly unlikely.

The country will likely pass 70,000 deaths this week — (May 4, 2020)
and that’s recorded deaths, not actual deaths, a distinction that’s important
to keep in mind particularly when comparing the toll with the flu.

As we wrote last week, the period after the peak in new deaths nationally
and in many states hasn’t been one of decline but, instead, a plateau.

America has to wonder then:
Is this Trump explaining what’s actually likely to happen, or is this just another example
of the (Presiderp) trying to wish a positive outcome into existence?

Trump did not want to tangle with China over coronavirus ( dependent on Chinese masks ?)
Trump attacked the World Health Organization in public-

Trump publicly criticized the World Health Organization for not alerting him to the degree
of threat, in February. Trump had already been told, and knew.

Trump searched for ways to cut the budget- he began the campaign against WHO
by complaining about not getting our money's worth.

Coronavirus: Trump moves to pull US out of World Health Organization

"We had our own people on the ground in China, who were observing the situation
in Wuhan and throughout [China]," he said, "We had plenty of information which
should have given us grounds to take more dramatic action in the U.S. earlier."

The Woodward interviews underscore the fact that, despite Trump's assignment of blame,
the U.S. did not rely on information from WHO or official Chinese sources to make
decisions around its pandemic response, said Jimmy Kolker

The president blamed WHO for the way the pandemic has unfolded -
because it's a "soft target," Konyndyk said. "It's easier to attack [WHO]
than to attack China [directly] — they can't really push back.

They make for a convenient scapegoat for the president."

As for the president's decision to end the U.S. relationship with the global health agency,
public health specialists interviewed for this story said it's a dangerous move that risks
prolonging the pandemic.

"The rest of the world is at a disadvantage if [the U.S. and WHO,] two main sources of
public health information and expertise, are not working together," which could delay
work on vaccines, treatments and potential cures for COVID-19, Kolker said.

Trump promised to replace Obamacare with something that would be much better-

Thom Tillis staffer tells cancer survivor that people only deserve health care if they can afford it

September 9, 2020

North Carolina Republican Sen. Thom Tillis — viewed as one of the most vulnerable GOP
(Trump Sucker) senators in 2020 — has found himself in an uncomfortable situation after
a staffer's excessively honest comments to a constituent were caught on tape.

As first reported by WRAL, Bev Veals of Carolina Beach, a three-time cancer survivor,
called her senator out of fear that her health insurance was at risk.

She has previously faced medical bankruptcy and difficulty accessing care, WRAL said.
Her husband was furloughed because of the pandemic. She wanted assurance that she'd
have coverage if she lost her health insurance.

Veals began to record their conversation, which was provided to WRAL and can be
viewed above.

"You're saying that, if you can't afford it, you don't get to have it?" she asked. "
That includes health care?"

Indifferent,dismissive,uncaring, mocking, snippy little shit-

"Yeah, just like if I want to go to the store and buy a new dress shirt."
" If I can't afford that dress shirt, I don't get to get it," the staffer explained.

(Does Sen.Tillis's staffer get government provided health care, just as Senator Tillis does ?

"But health care is something that people need!" Veals said, clearly alarmed.
"Especially if they have cancer."

"Well, you got to find a way to get it," the staffer said.

"So what do I do in the meantime, sir?" she asked, not hiding the irritation in her voice.

The response was snide: "Sounds like something you're going to have to figure it out."

The Trump administration is currently arguing that the Supreme Court should overturn all
of Obamacare, throwing millions of people off their insurance and invalidating protections
for pre-existing conditions, along with other provisions that protect patients.

(Trump is on the campaign trail, telling people that he is fighting for protections for
pre-existing conditions, while he is doing the opposite- He is trying to get rid of
protections.)

The unofficial Republican Party policy, though, is to lie about this fact.

Trump is constantly telling voters that he protected pre-existing conditions —
even though he has done nothing to ensure they're covered — and that he'll
continue to keep these protections in place, even though he's trying to destroy
them.

Experimental military weapons were used against OWS protesters in NY

They were banned by cities, because they cause harm.

In order for Trump to take a stroll, and hold a bible upside down in front of a church,
Trump was ready to burn flesh, and render peaceful protesters blind and deaf for life,
in order to make the primetime slot for headlines.

Long Range Acoustic Device (LRAD)

LRAD emits a piercing noise and then can broadcast a voice or a recording at a deafening level.

Active Denial System (ADS)

The military developed the ADS some 20 years ago as a way to disperse crowds.
There have been questions about whether it worked, or should be deployed in the
first place. It uses millimeter wave technology essentially to heat the skin of people
targeted by its invisible ray.

The email went on to say that the ADS can direct a beam toward a group and that
"provides a sensation of intense heat on the surface of the skin.

The effect is overwhelming, causing an immediate repel response by the targeted individual."

Long Range Acoustic Device, also known as an LRAD, or a microwave-like weapon
called the Active Denial System

The burning effect comes from a gyrotron, which creates heat by pushing energy through
a magnetic field, similar to a microwave.

The weapon generates millimeter waves meant to penetrate 1/64th of an inch into the skin —
enough to hurt without leaving burns.

But in a 2007 military test, a change in the device’s power settings resulted in second-degree
burns to one airman’s body.

The coronavirus planted its flag in New York and Washington state, and no one
knew what it was capable of, until doctors could not save people from dying.

That should have set off alarms, and set President Obama's pandemic plan into motion.

That did not happen.

What did happen is Trump moved in and made his campaign contributors rich, created
wealthy minions from ne'er do-wells, supplied "his"corrupted politicians in Red states
with coronavirus tests, PPE supplies and ventilators stolen from Blue state hospitals.
At a time when citizens were discouraged from buying and wearing coronavirus masks,
Trump's operatives in Red States were wearing masks meant for surgeons, doctors, and
nurses attending to coronavirus patients on life support.

No matter how low on the Trump administration totem pole, minor Trump politicians
were tested, while seriously ill coronavirus patients did not get tests. They died untested.

The Red states were given every advantage because most agreed with Trump demand-
operate business as usual, as if coronavirus did not exist.- Encourage people to fight mask
wearing. By the time coronavirus reached Red states, scientists had identified it, and had
developed guidance on avoiding the spread of coronavirus. Red states threw the hard won
knowledge into the trash, and defied the lockdowns. Coronavirus spread like wildfire across
Red states, when it should not have spread, at all.

Meanwhile, Blue states did their best to keep it from spreading. Paid a heavy price for
quarantine and lockdowns, but lives were saved. There was hope for a quick recovery,
and a quick restart. Trump's stupidity and selfishness ruined everything.

Trump's "we doing great if you ignore blue states" line made me curious
what a red-states-only America would look like. It would be whiter, less
, have a faster-growing deficit and have far fewer Trump-branded golf
courses.

Trump wanted to reinforce that this (the current American coronavirus death count)
was not his fault

So we’re down in this territory,” Trump continued, “and that’s despite the fact that
the blue states had had tremendous death rates. If you take the blue states out, we’re
at a level that I don’t think anybody in the world would be at. We’re really at a very
low level. But some of the states, they were blue states and blue state-managed.”

Why has the ratio of blue-state to red-state deaths shifted? Because most of the newly
occurring deaths are happening in red states. Since mid-June, a majority of the new
coronavirus deaths each day have occurred in red states. Since mid-July at least 70
percent have.

The University of Washington’s Institute on Health Metrics estimates that there will
be nearly 413,000 deaths by the end of the year.

Of that total, almost precisely half are projected to have occurred in red states.

Warning-
Clicking a link to the articles, in the publications that I have quoted from,
have some toxic, racist language in them.

It exposes the dangers of Trump's
influence.

(...)

I voted for Barack Obama twice, yet I had more than a few issues with the way
he did things — his immigration policy and drone-bombing campaign to name
a couple.

When you claim a politician as your own, as you do when you fly their flag —
and regardless of what Trump sycophants say, he’s the president, so he’s a
politician — you are saying, “I’m on this team, and I’ll do whatever I need
to do to defend that.”

(...)

This is exactly the type of cult following that Trump aimed to build from the beginning.

(...)

I’m reminded of a Trump voter in Florida who was quoted in a New York Times report
from early January of this year-

Trump’s government shutdown had so many people suffering around the country
so he could fight for funding for his mythical wall.

“I thought he was going to do good things."
"He’s not hurting the people he needs to be hurting,” the woman said,
revealing the true nature of Trump’s following.

This is not the reason to vote for a president, people.

(...)

Now when you see hate speech, the Trump flag is never far behind.

(...)

Sept. 19, when multiple members of a pro-Trump convoy passing through Elon
on a Saturday afternoon yelled “White power,” the flags were there.

Maybe I’m just a triggered lib, but I’d say if this is the group you stake your claim with,
that’s a pretty big red flag.

Supporters of the president’s re-election bid yelled “white power” from pickup trucks
in “Trump convoy” in Alamance County

The slogan, long associated with violent white supremacists, was yelled at least twice
as the convoy passed an intersection in downtown Elon where professor Megan Squire
silently held a sign reading “Black lives matter.”

The parade, billed as “Alamance County Trump Convoy and Ride 2020,” assembled
on the track of Ace Speedway during a rally

(...)

A handful of vehicles in the Trump convoy promoted local GOP candidates, including
trucks with large wooden campaign signs erected in the beds, including Dennis Riddell,
a candidate for NC House in District 64, and Ryan Bowden, a candidate for Alamance
County School Board. A vehicle bearing a car magnet advertising Alamance County
Commissioner Bill Lashley’s campaign for reelection was also part of the convoy.
Riddell, Bowden and Lashley did not respond to questions for this story.

Other Republican candidates were represented with placards displayed in the
windows of vehicles in the convoy.

Here’s the thing about working in the news: The hours are long, and the pay is terrible.

But on the other hand: Everybody hates us!

You get used to it. I like to think that at any given time, perhaps a third of the Triad
is upset with me, a third are grateful that I’m here and a third don’t care either way.

Lately I’ve been experiencing a new form of vitriol, above and beyond the usual fare:
Personal. Menacing. Disturbingly misguided.

"...my Copenhagen-voiced caller articulates the heart of Trump’s base, the basis
for Nixon’s Southern Strategy, the reason why our first Black president sent
so many white Americans into conniption fits."

It’s the racism. This guy was just willing to admit it. And I choose to believe him.

In that one word, my caller explained why so many Trump voters no longer care about
deficits and taxes (Where my tea party people at?), the shifting set of standards applied
to lawmakers, the dog-whistle codewords that make them salivate.

For so many of them, it really is that simple.

Tale of Two Narratives

The narrative that continued under the administration of President Barack Obama, and the
narrative of the Evil twin of America, America's clone- Trump's Alternate Universe.

It is really very simple- We, as Americans, will be choosing to vote, or not vote. Choice.

Cannot leave out the fact, that many Americans will not be allowed to vote, because of deliberate, illegal interference.

The year 2020, and people are still dying, because they want to exercise their right to vote.

All of the planet Earth's human beings are the mutation of great apes. We are tribal.

Germany represents all of the genocides committed in the modern age, before most were born.

Many genocides committed, after that. Genocides continue, and America under Trump,
is committing genocide, at the moment.

France gave America the Statue of Liberty, and she holds aloft a beacon of hope.

Yet, there is a self-appointed King sitting in the seat of power, and the people cry for bread.
