Sooo...you're counting calories...

You decide to have toast. You look at the package nutritional information. 1 piece of toast is 70 calories. 2 pieces of toast is 130 calories. Yes... this is the real package information.

That ain't bad. For a man, if you are sedentary and counting calories, you can consume 2,200 calories a day and stay static on your weight. If you're active you can consume that many calories and lose weight.

But when you're an old fat man and love your desserts, it ain't gunna work no matter how active you are. How do I know? Just a guess...

Did you see that one piece was 70....then 2 pieces were 130!

70+70=............130:confused:

I had two pieces. One was on discount.:D

Crap, I missed that. Shows you how observant I am today! But if it's true, the more you eat the fewer calories are in it? Oh hell yes! I can go for that! :D

Shoulda thrown away every other slice. Woulda been only 120 calories if you stuck to the odd slices.

I just got to wondering whose job it was to make sure the nutritional information was correct!

Would you trust any of the rest of the information on the package?

This is what happens when you let women into the bakery. If men were still the only bakers, every loaf would be "six inches" and "jumbo sized". Women could eat the whole loaf in one sitting and still lose weight.

You would think with all the Math people here you would get an answer as to why one piece =70 calories, but 2=130.

I will give you all a hint. Calories are the bodies fuel . When you look at the calories on a package, it is not "real" calories but Kilojoules ie it is based upon Net Fuel, not Gross fuel.

Your body needs more energy to convert two pieces of toast into fuel than it does to convert one, when eaten at the same time....according to them in this case that equals 10 Kilojoules.... so if you eat one piece it will give you 70, but if you eat two, only 130, due to the extra energy needed to convert the larger mass to fuel...

Least that is what google says anyhow....

That isn't math. If that was even sort of true, it would take five calories to convert the first piece of toast into fuel and the package would say 65 calories for one slice- because math.

Coo, that's impressive. I was going to suggest you'd burn up 10 calories while eating the first piece so the clock gets reset back 70-10+70=130. Apparently you burn 30-75 calories just eating a meal so a piece of toast might be 10. So yea, what he ^^ said/google said.

There may be some calorific value in the cardboard packaging too, if you get desperate

Go argue with Google, apparently the Human body doesn't work lineally...

You really are astonishingly stupid. Which cells are responsible for keeping track of how much toast you eat so they can work harder on the second piece? What if you drink a glass of water between them? Separate them by a slice of baloney? Eat them on successive days? Eat them S L O W L Y?

Rob tried that math for decades, "If I eat MOAR mah body will burn calories from the aerobic exercise that goes into producing s t r e t c h m a r k s!"

Turn out, eating less means less to burn, so he had his stomach stapled rather than having his piehole constricted.

130 is actually 92.
How? Beats me, ask AJ.

He spent two solid years here arguing that one dollar, one quarter and one nickel equaled 92 cents.

That's exactly how we got an internet full of stupid people that don't know they are stupid.

Wow HisArpy, on a five day meltdown, now Conager starting one over calories...WTF, is the RNC convention not living up to their expectations.....

*chuckles*

Sorry Tryharder, i thought I'd give you an answer, and I did so now I am out of this one....

You say something stupid.

I point out that it is stupid.

You double down.

I point out doubling down is stupid.

You declare victory, which I feel compelled to point out is stupid.

*chuckle*
