President Donald Trump’s effort to fight a prosecutor’s subpoena for his tax records was rejected Thursday by a federal judge, handing another loss to the president in a high-profile case that already made its way to the Supreme Court.

U.S. District Judge Victor Marrero said the president failed to show that the subpoena would pose an unfair burden, siding in favor of Manhattan D.A. Cyrus Vance Jr., who has said his office is pursuing an investigation of potential violations of state law. Trump is likely to appeal the decision to a higher court.

Follow the money. That bigass boat load of money. It was just here a minute ago.

hmmmm

They will appeal. It will go up to the SCOTUS and be sent back down for the VERY SAME REASON as the last attempt to get those records.

Why?

Because the current subpoena is exactly the same as the last subpoena that the SCOTUS ruled wasn't sufficient to support the necessary prerequisites and that the lower court had to 'flesh out the record". That the lower court didn't do that and instead proclaimed that the second issuing of the subpoena was "good enough" isn't, in fact "good enough".

The second appeal of the same order was already factored in.

I'm quite certain you have proof of your assertion about the subpoena being "exactly the same".

Somewhere.

His crimes will not come to an actual court decision until after he leaves office next January, but somehow I don't think Biden or Harris are likely to pardon. They don't strike me as big followers of the Trump cult.

Somewhere.

Yes.

One need only read the existing record. If one had the capability to do so without spraining their only remaining brain cell.

Which, of course, eliminates you and your Elk.

ah yes, the "existing record".

Of course!

Interesting, that the judge actually stated a decision "with prejudice". Now I am not a Lawyer, and I don't play one on a porn board, but can you explain how a "with prejudice" verdict is going to allow this now dead appeal to move up the court chain?

Seriously your a Lawyer ( benefit of the doubt on my part), I can't see this moving up the chain, no other superior court is going to be willing to hear the case.

Just got worse.

Four years after 50 of the nation’s most senior Republican national security officials warned that Donald J. Trump “would be the most reckless president in American history,” they are back with a new letter, declaring his presidency worse than they had imagined and urging voters to support former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr.

The new letter, released just hours before Mr. Biden formally accepts the nomination, lays out a 10-point indictment of Mr. Trump’s actions, accusing him of undermining the rule of law, aligning himself with dictators and engaging “in corrupt behavior that renders him unfit to serve as president.” They also accused him of “spreading misinformation” and “undermining public health experts,” making him “unfit to lead during a national crisis.”

“When we wrote in 2016, we were warning against a vote for Donald Trump, but many of the signatories were not ready to embrace his opponent,” Hillary Clinton, the former secretary of state, noted John Bellinger, a former legal adviser at the State Department and National Security Council who was among the authors of the past and current letters. “This is different: Each of the signatories has said he or she will vote for Biden. Signatories are now even more concerned about Trump, and have fewer concerns about Biden.”

The result, he said, was that new Republican signatories joined — there are more than 70 in the new letter — people who “undoubtedly hoped that Trump would grow in office and would take the responsibilities of office seriously. He didn’t.”

Seems that you would be pleased those Neocon RINOs bitterly clinging to power were so far off on their predictions from 2016. Aren't you glad that Trump was less hawkish than Nobel Peace Prize recipient and Warmonger Barack "Drone em all; let Allah sort 'em out" Obama?

Where did you find that Obama quote? Maybe here?
