More proof the virus panic is bullshit

The latest statistics from Nevada are out, and if anyone would care to look beyond the headlines or the 10-second sound bites I'll wager there is not a real significant difference between what is going on here and what is going on where you live.
For instance, in the deaths column (the one that really counts) we find that 62 percent of Nevada's China virus dead are 70 or over, and when you include those 60 and over the total jumps to 81 percent.
12 percent are in the 50 to 59 percent age group, 5 percent in 40 to 49, and 1 percent is in the 30-39 age group.
Covid-19 has killed no one under the age of 30 in Nevada, yet the fifth-largest school district in the country will not open its campuses nor will there will fall high school sports in the entire state.
Schools all over Europe have been in session since late spring.

Almost 1,100 have died of the virus in Nevada. Given the ages of the deceased, and the medical histories of those who have died, it would seem that the way to proceed would be to let the adults decide.

Let the adults decide?
I can hear the shrieking now.

So 175,000+ deaths (Actually recent research has shown that there were 54,000 more excess deaths this year than can only be accounted for by Corvid-19. So the total is more like 200,700) attributed to Corvid-19, deaths that would not have occurred in its absence, is bullshit? And you insist that the adults should decide. Will they decide to actually be adults and realize it's their responsibility to protect the population vulnerable to this virus, or will they say "Fuck 'em! Let 'em take care of themselves. I gotta make money!"?

Seems to me by your attitude you are all for the second option. Why not just state that outright rather then the verbal tapdance you are doing?

Most Effective Deep State Mind Control Program yet.

They can now kill you just by making you Think there’s a virus.

Lord only knows what kind of math AJ will come up with from these numbers.:rolleyes:

Yeah OldJourno - fuck'em! Over sixty? Your life has no meaning!

There is a correlation.

Over sixty????

Close to collecting entitlements???

Mitch McConnell and his rich donors have been trying to gut entitlements forever.

Do the math.

Except things would have changed. Can you say Ebola?

I mentioned that.

Can you discern no difference between Ebola and Covid?

Your conflation is not ironic-sarcastic the way mine was, but let us talk
the response to a common flu pandemic that was just as deadly for the most part
and pretty much ignored by the Obama Administration and which did not panic our press,
so it mitigated the fear with the people by making the astute observation that
the only people dying were basically doing so due to other underlying condition.

It soon becomes clear that the way we react to these things has become political science
rather than being the purview of medical science and pandemic history...

Cases reported in the last 7 days by state. Can you see where this is going?

California
66,120
Texas...

~~~ snip ~~~
... Kentucky
4,437
Yeah.
You weren't getting the kick out of the death counts that you expected,
so you switched to 'cases' because with our increased testing, which is
leading the world, and with our upgraded medical treatment and
medications, you needed some bigger numbers that could,
hopefully, keep the sense of panic alive and
defeat Trump...
:shrug:
Once again, cherry-picking a day...
Why?
Because the total numbers won't support your contentions.
We also now have, again, the testing difference and our proclivity
to attribute deaths to the tests and not the condition and you have no
idea if those other countries are doing the exact opposite; none what-so-ever.
Yeah, all the other countries are lying.
The USA is doing the best job of handling the pandemic.
Fake deaths!
No one said that.
What is in dispute is that we're doing one of the worse jobs
or that a President Clinton would have waved her magic wand
and prevented the spread of the virus and mitigated its mortality rate,
;)
which would have appeared to be true because the press would have reported
the thing 100% differently as an in-kind campaign contribution to her reelection...
We would be inundated with a message of don't worry, be happy, it's just a new flu variation
which is no more dangerous, deadly or preventable than any other sort of annual outbreak that we experience.
Help is just around the corner!
From last night:
“Joe will bring us together to end this pandemic and make sure that we are prepared for the next one.”
Kamala Harris
I wonder, can she (or he) tell us what the next one will be and
which medication/vaccine we will be need to be stocked up on...
I saw that line. She will say or do anything to get ahead. Don’t like her, don’t trust her.
Lol, is that the best you've got?
8 months in and Trump doesn't even have a plan with how to deal with it.
Cue A_j to remind everyone he didn't vote for Trump. He just comes here everyday to defend him. :rolleyes:
He has a plan. Get back to work. People will get sick. Some will die. We’ll get over it.
I agree with part of that thinking.
Blaming trump for a virus is like blaming bush for katrina. Neither gets a gold star, but you gotta keep moving. Stop whining and get back to work.
That's because it's not his job to have a plan to deal with it.
Don't you know what country you're in? It's not the Unified Peoples Republic.
Yes, this is a failure of institutions like the WHO and the CDC.
They are the ones who are supposed to develop and present the plans
to the executive to execute. The criticism goes partly to them, mostly to China.
But as long as Trump is treating the Chinese harshly, to the Left,
they are the enemies of their enemy...
