Tell us about your favorite trip. Local, Worldwide, whatever.

My favorite trip was probably to Vienna, Austria as a 16 year old. When we stepped off of the bus into the city, it was instant magic. We had gone during the season of Advent, and the city was covered in millions of lights hanging from every structure and tree. There were markets on ever corner, and music coming from all over. The air was crisp, cool. Not uncomfortable at all. It served to enhance the ambiance of the mood that was pervasive across the city. As we walked around, everyone was friendly, in a good mood. A few groups asked me to sing with them, which provided some memorable, albeit hilarious, moments on my part. We walked the cobblestone streets looking at the outdoor cafes and the historical statues. We saw the house of Mozart and looked at original manuscripts of the Requiem Mass (still my favorite collection of music ever). One day I’ll go back.

As a little girl, I had wanted to go to Germany ...
having never been on an airplane before, I decided to go by myself in 2016 and had been to Germany 3 more times since. I love all the fairy tale castles, and the architecture., not to mention the food! and the people were really nice.

So far my overseas travels have taken me to Scotland, Switzerland, Leitchenstein, Luxemburg, Belgium , Poland, the Netherlands.
I had been to Vienna, Budapest, Prague . I love Europe, but I miss not having ice cubes in my drinks!😂😂

This year I was supposed to go to the Baltic countries....and my trip to Croatia had also been canceled due to covid.

So many places to see......

maybe I should think of flying domestically....

2015 I go through a shitty, aggrevating breakup with the girl I was going out with at the time. The break up went like this: she broke it off and hit me up for money...within the same text message. I laugh about it now because it was just so pathetic. What did I ever see in this train wreck of a human being aside from the great sex? But at the time it stung. I really thought we had something.

So I pack up and go to New Orleans for the weekend, I always wanted to go but time and money for a long time were always factors. This time I had a little extra money and some freedom. So I got up early and explored the entire French Quarter on foot. Ate some amazing cousine, heard some incredible music. It felt so awesome. I was out and about all day.

And when I got home I felt refreshed, healed, and good about things. I moved into a new place and was getting the fresh start I needed. Sometimes you just have to press the reset button.

Awesome, NRJ! Good to see you, man!

I love Scotland !!! I acutually met this older couple ( from Edinburgh) the first time I was in Berlin, Germany, and we had been in contact through emails ever since.

so 2 years ago, I went to see them for a few days, and then continued my way to Glasgow, Inverness, St. Andrews....

I would love to go back, especially when the Royal Scots military Tattoo do their concerts in Edinburgh..... i love hearing bagpipes & drums

Yeah. You’d better go back! Immediately. 😂

I admit, I am jealous that you were in Vienna during Advent..
I would love to go to Europe during the Christmas holidays..

have you ever tried German gingerbread ( Lebkuchen)? It is delicious!
if you have a Trader Joe's or even an Aldi where you are, I recommend you buy a pack and taste them yourself.

Europe has the best chocolate...

can't decide whether chocolate from Belgium or Switzerland is better...
need to do a trip to both countries ASAP for a taste test!

Many of us are loathed to try something new until we are placed into a position where we have no other choice. Think skydiving and getting pushed out of the airplane. Today, tell us about something new that you tried and how it turned out, good or bad.
