The latest statistics from Nevada are out, and if anyone would care to look beyond the headlines or the 10-second sound bites I'll wager there is not a real significant difference between what is going on here and what is going on where you live.
For instance, in the deaths column (the one that really counts) we find that 62 percent of Nevada's China virus dead are 70 or over, and when you include those 60 and over the total jumps to 81 percent.
12 percent are in the 50 to 59 percent age group, 5 percent in 40 to 49, and 1 percent is in the 30-39 age group.
Covid-19 has killed no one under the age of 30 in Nevada, yet the fifth-largest school district in the country will not open its campuses nor will there will fall high school sports in the entire state.
Schools all over Europe have been in session since late spring.
Almost 1,100 have died of the virus in Nevada. Given the ages of the deceased, and the medical histories of those who have died, it would seem that the way to proceed would be to let the adults decide.
Let the adults decide?
I can hear the shrieking now.
