Who says these pictures aren't exotic. The time since your last post, cutting off the supply, has obviously got some of your followers rattling! However the fact that we get to share your daily life and see the everyday V and R juxtaposed with your more intimate offerings is much more exrotic than any of the other people on here.

Many thanks Nasho ... yes, we will be back - was a flying visit and spent the time with family. Very lucky with the weather, loved the crisp cool days.

I had occasion to visit Canberra in 2003 for a conference. It is a typically political city and essentially quiet in the evening!

However, We found plenty to do at the 'Kingo' (King's Arms) pub most nights and checked out the ANZAC Museum during one free afternoon. That was moving!

I did not cuddle anybody who may have been waiting for a bus!!!

*giggle* ... Hi MCPW... Yeah, the war memorial is great to visit, it's on our list for next time as it's been a few years since we were there.

Visited Canberra many years back for a Monet exhibition. The exhibition was as good as we'd hoped it would be. Canberra was surprising to us, so much to see and do.
But damn was it cold. And this from us living in the Upper Hunter.
Funny story, totally by accident met a former housemate who had joined the military in a pub there. It's a small world.
Which also goes to say I may have been in proximity to you guys too at one stage or another. Certainly have been to many of the same places....if only I knew then what I know now.

Hello P ... yes, we're always surprised how much we find to see and do in Canberra, and we always leave with a few ideas of what we'd like to do on our next visit. It is a small world sometimes, have had similar experiences. Perhaps we'll bump into you somewhere some day.

I don't know how you do it but even in jeans you manage to look elegant.

I remember the sacking of Goff Whitlam. I loved some of the placards held up for the queen's visit some years later. "A QUEEN IS QUAINT BUT A GOVERNOR GENERAL AINT" Typically Australian I thought. It's a pity her madge doesn't exercise her royal prergative at home right now.

You're very welcome Ken and thanks for the feedback. Agree re the Aussie expression .. and yes, the queen's responses, but I guess it's impossible to understand all the varied considerations she must make. I don't envy her her job, that's for sure.

Your trip looked great but it must have been pretty chilly .... not used to seeing you so rugged up .... like the big cuddly teddy bear at the bus stop??

Interesting that Richard seems to often change his cars for flash models ..... but none of them have lines and shapes which come close to your own - He obviously recognizes that he can not improve on perfection!

Hi Vasco,

Yes, it was really chilly ... we get cold weather where we live too, but nothing like the icy chill of the southern regions. Still we both enjoyed the beautifully fresh air and as you say we were prepared with the right clothes - we've learnt from experience!

Richard has always been a car enthusiast ... I must say I've learnt a lot about cars since I met him, and even consider myself a minor enthusiast now. Got a thrill when we saw a couple of Ferraris passing us on the freeway.

Thanks Buzzo. Yes, it was pretty cold, but not quite as cold as the last time we were in Canberra. We love both the cars - they're so different, and they both sound great. Personally I love the look of the original 60s Mustangs the best.
