are you afraid of the coronavirus, too ?*

Today is August 8, 2020 in America

I am, indeed, afraid of coronavirus.

It is taking the lives of people, children, babies, and infecting animals, of the world.

It is harming the health of people that survive Covid-19.

I'm at least 49 % more likely to die of heart disease, cancer or kidney failure. Just repeat this over and over:

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

And people with any of those pre-existing conditions are far more likely to die of Covid.

When Covid goes through those at risk groups there will be nothing left but corpses.

The weak are the first to fall. Nature's way.

Nothing has changed since the first page of the first thread. The issue with this virus is our failed leadership. As we are going, by xmas...300k dead...by this time next year...1 million. Totally preventable. Make your choice. Wear a mask cause they won't

I have had it and recovered!! It took longer to get my results than it did to get over it. I didn't feel good for 4-5 days and it took 12 days to get my results!

Fever for 2 days; cough for 2 weeks?

I've had a chronic cough for 30 years and it really didn't get any worse. My main symptoms were a low fever of 99°-99.5°, headaches but mainly just really fatigued and no appetite.

I had something back in Feb. Before the shit hit the fan. I'm not dead, so there's that. :)

i'm very happy your recovery was so swift and you get no future health issues because of it.

let's hope you didn't pass it on to anyone

Both my wife and I were sicker than shit in January and we're wondering if we had clear back then and that's why it was so milf for me this time. No way to ever really know.

So, people are being forced at gunpoint to hang a flour sack over their head, yet the numbers are still going up. Cool.

Guess the whole flour sack gag really is a farce after all.

it's because not enough people wear them (plus lack of physical distancing) that this has gotten as far as it has

the countries where the people take the measures, adapt to wearing them and think about their fellow human beings, have seen their figures drop dramatically compared to the u.s, russia, brazil.

states that have mandated mask-wearing and had compliance have seen their case-numbers fall. it's not rocket science. when enough people wear them, transmission rates fall accordingly.

I isolated myself as soon as I felt something was up. Besides my wife, my Mom lives with us and is going through chemotherapy and gets tested every 3 weeks. It's been almost 4 weeks since my first symptom and both my wife and my Mom have tested negative.

The Covid is serious and people should wear masks until it passes. But realistically, McDonald's kills far more people than Covid does. Take common sense precautions, but don't lose your mind over it.

if only more people would do this, there'd not be over 160,000 dead already

so simple:

physical distancing
wear a mask
wash your hands

how freakin' hard is it?
