Where do the comments go?

On my dashboard, I have notifications of several people commenting on my latest and other stories. However they do not appear on the story pages. Am I missing something?

Patience. They'll show up eventually. The site refresh different parts of its database at different times.

If I click on the link on my dashboard, the comments are not there. However if I go in from the main story menu they are there. Thanks for your help.
