Post here or PM me if you're interested in joining Lit.'s seasonal league (it's free).

Back in the Guilded Age of Lit, we had very active fantasy leagues. I think people got tired of beating KRC every week.

I don't see leagues on message boards like I used to. It was like a thing for a while but seems to have died down quite a bit. A shame because they're fun due to the fighting that typically goes on in these places.

The pitchers were struggling last night. I watched the Nats game and Mad Max was all over the place.

There goes the short season.........the Marlins are "pausing" their season due to an outbreak of the COVID-19 virus in their clubhouse.

Yep, Florida, a great state of the Union....between COVID-19 and it's population....

Well, the Braves just dumped Folty, so the Mets?

My daughter had never been to the city and last year we were riding in from the airport and we passed Citi Field and I said "That's where the Met's play" and she said "who?" and I said "Exactly."

The cab driver got it.

And not a football thread but still on topic sorta, so far 6 Pats have opted out of the season and I've read of a few from other teams so far as well. The contract only pays 'em a hundred grand I think so they're giving up a ton.

MIAMI (AP) — With six teams idled Friday by the COVID-19 pandemic, Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred spoke to union leader Tony Clark about the importance of players following the sport’s coronavirus protocols.

Manfred and Clark talked about what needs to be done to finish the season, a person familiar with the conversation said. The person who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation.

Concerns have been expressed about lax behavior by players on the field — such as spitting or high-fives — and off. The scrambled schedule has also heightened doubts about whether the owners’ desire to play is realistic.

The latest game to be postponed was Milwaukee’s home opener against St. Louis, called off hours before the first pitch after two Cardinals players tested positive for COVID-19.

I've lost track of the number of postponed games this w-e relative to the number that will actually be played.
