Hello! I'm one of the writers here and am working on my next story, and I could use some help.

My female lead, 25, has just survived a cancer she thought would kill her, and the story opens with her making a list of all the things she wants to try now that she is in remission and has been handed a second chance.

What do you think would be on your list if you were in this situation?

I know what I would choose, but it's been a LONG time since I was 25, and I'd love the perspective of other people.

Thanks for your help!

I'd want the best hot fudge sundae known to humankind, a great massage, and a hot air balloon ride in a beautiful place like the Grand Canyon or the Hudson Valley or Acadia NP. And I'd want to meet a fantastic, considerate lover to celebrate my new life!

My list? Well it floats about, but WTH...

I'd want to...
License an official font created from my own handwriting.
Give away life-changing money.
Complete a creative project from the many songs and stories I abandon.
Perform music on stage for people.
Make love like an Eagle falling out of the sky.
Attend a murder mystery dinner and,
arrive there by seaplane at sunset wearing a Dior tux.

The best fitting tux I ever wore, hands down, was Dior. Bond-ian elegance with tracksuit comfort.

If you use these do I get a contributor credit?

Sit by the sea. Eating bon bons. Watching IFB arrive by seaplane, in his Dior tux.

You were doing great till the fitted sheet. Nobody can fold one of those. :)

I feel striving for the impossible is the Cherry d'Elegance on top of the banana split of life. I may never get there, believe me... I wad up fitted sheets like so much visqueen at a murder scene, but one day...

I've been stabbed twice and have had a few other non-elective surgeries over the years.

Trust me, when it's over, all you want to do is go home.

I'm told when a woman uses a knife, that she has very deep feelings.

Someone critically ill or injured is pretty well defined by that illness or injury. I personally think the recovered patient is going to do something which redefines them, with turns their recent reality around about 180° - something which expresses health. What that would be depends on the character. It might be going for a hike in the wilderness or hot sex or even (after hospital grub) going out for a favourite meal.

The first thing I would do... get a tattoo.

Second... I would take a trip to a place I’ve always wanted to go.. in my case, Italy

Third... I’d find my lost love... and fuck him.. and then fuck him again... and then leave without saying goodbye.

😉

You found me. Let's go get that tattoo.

Thanks for your help! I am working on this one today, and I really appreciate your time and thoughts!

That's what I was thinking. Go home and rest. The difference is that your spouse or your pets can join you in the bed or on the coach. Hospitals got lots of rules. The menu and the wine list leave a lot to be desired as well.
