Hi there.

Just recently I discovered the Literotica community and can say I love reading all the stories.

In my free time I like to do visual illustrations, most of them are 18+ and I was happy to see there's a category for that where we can publish our works.

Submitted two illustrations for the start 2 days ago and from what I understood needs to be approved.
Well... it's been almost 48hrs and still, my uploads are on pending, ok thought that staff is busy or it's not a popular category but seem there are new posts, new illustrations posted.

Am I doing something wrong, or?

Absolutely nothing. It takes time, 3 to 5 days is average, a week still okay, longer...well, patience is really a good friend :). You did submit to 'Erotic Artwork', didn't you?

Because, illustrated poems and stories are a completely different story. Those are done in cycles of about six to eight weeks, next round probably early August...patience is your best friend in those categories.

I see.. well like I said quite new here, I didn't know.
Yeah since are only a few renders, submitted on the "erotic artwork".
Thanks for the reply!

That certainly is not 'work in progress'. Good details that make the whole picture interesting to look at, I do like the shadows on the paper wall and the variety of wet skin. Looks like you know your ways with 3D render software? Actually, is there a way to control the gloss of the surface, the leather of the massage table(?) looks a bit shiny.

Well, all apparently been sent back/denied.

Not allowed to post any links on my artworks, fair enough ok.
But neither my name on them as a small watermark/signature in a corner.. which I'm not happy with that.

Oh well..

Signatures should be OK, seen that before. Just not any link outside Literotica.

Well this doesn't have any links on or anything like a promotional thing.
Reason:

We support your creative work, both on Lit and offsite on other projects. You are more than welcome to promote those projects in your bio and profile page. That said - out of respect for readers, we do not allow advertisements, promotions, or outside links or mentions of any kind within the text/body of submissions (including "see my profile for my other work/blog link/etc").

Ah, I think it's probably because you use your alter ego 'Sneaky Bastard' instead of CulayTL, now that might be the problem.

I think that within the above requirements of the site mentioned above they should allow artists to watermark or add their name/website on their own images - as long as it is done in a discrete way of course.
Artists need to have the ability to at least try to protect their copyright by marking their work in some way.
Admittedly it's something I have not done on my uploads in the past, but I am beginning to wish I had at least added my name and a website link due to the amount of times I catch other people stealing art to use it for their own purposes.

Totally understand you.

When I started I didn't use any watermarks, was happy, I was getting constructive feedback.
By the time I got better my works started to pop out on other different sites without my consent, I was upset, cheated but happy at the same time because viewers liked my content and I was getting better.
But later started to find out that some other bastard started to use my work and pretend it was his.. well I got upset and had no more other good reason to balance that.

So yeah.. from then started to use my name, mostly discrete in a corner or somewhere that doesn't disturb the image.
When I gained more experience, got my own comics, started to do this daily, opened new social pages, and yeah mostly I'm using my Patreon link now.

From my POV I think we should be allowed to add our links on our images in a discrete way, are not clickable, it's up to the viewer if he wants the link in the address bar or not.
Not agree with teasing, like post a blurred image and if you want to see it at full resolution visit the (Patreon) link.

We do not accept photographs or photo-manipulations to our Illustrations and Erotic Comics section.

Really?

There's a lot of inconsistency on the acceptance/rejection of stories, too. I think some of it is unavoidable. Other times, the rules are applied to exclude something that the site owner doesn't want to publish for some other reason. I have no idea if that's the case here because I don't have an imgur account and couldn't see the link. I just offer that possibility in case it helps you figure it out.

(Photos omitted for space-saving)

I certainly don't see anything content-related that might have triggered it. I'd bet that it's the phone that made her start thinking, "photo."

But, pardon my ignorance, is that actually a manipulated photo? It looks like a rendering to me.

It's a compliment, you're rendering work is so good, it looks photo-realistic. Well, if you apply this train of thought you go here, Photo guideline for the forum.

I'm pretty sure I've seen such a list for the main site as well...but where?

I know this doesn't help you to submit, but maybe you have an idea how to make it less realistic, but more artistic.

Since it's a rendering, it seems to be he could resubmit it with an explanation that it's a rendering and an offer to provide supplemental materials to prove it, such as the ones posted below the final photo. Wouldn't that work? I don't think the intention behind the rule is for Laurel to determine whether a piece is "too" photo-realistic. I think she just goofed and thought it was done from a real photo.

Even though the detail and the textures and so on, on this 3D computer generated stuff is really impressive, I find it all horrible. The people that do it seem to always create generic looking perfect bimbo women and stud like men in cliche'd porn type scenario's. If only someone would do more realistic stuff (that isn't incest or underage) I could appreciate it.

Hmmm... You're posting this in response to a person with feelings who spent a lot of time working on this. Maybe try something like this next time:

The detail and the textures and so on, and this 3D computer generated stuff is really impressive. I'd really like to see how it looks to create more realistic (adult) subjects, versus the porn-star types.

You've made me feel terrible now. I should work on my tact.

I didn't mean to make you feel terrible. When communicating over this medium, it's easy to lose sight of the person on the other end. People do it all the time. So, I think it helps if we remind each other. :)

It's fine :) It's all about the taste, got his point, and fair enough.

Doing this for quite a while now, got lots of hate, unconstructive feedback, racist comments, etc.. or loads of good feedback as well and suggestions, how to improve or where I'm doing wrong.. anyway.. his reply is ok, no offence taken :D

As for the pornstar, incest, bimbo, mostly, these are the most popular tags (apart futa/shemale/furry) or most of the public looking for, including me to be honest.

Most of my works are NSFW, many are quite explicit. Sometimes I do SWF as well but I don't try to go too much on the realism side.
