Weird that he and Hugh Downs would die just a few weeks apart. Barbara Walters better watch out.

His full name was Regis Francis Xavier Philbin, which is about as Catholic as it gets.

Hey, I don't make the rules. If I did ND fans would still burn, so would fans of most Big Ten teams, half the SEC and anyone who ever said anything even remotely nice about the Patriots.

One of the most recognizable voices on air. He had a good run. RIP.

It speaks of your character, to many folks....character..... or the lack thereof.

Ya'll's Momma never told ya, "if ya ain't got nuthin' nice to say, then keep your pie-hole shut!" ???

Guess not.
Sad.

The saying is stupid. It makes no sense.
If we were to go by it then that means don't ever say anything bad about Hitler or Stalin or Steve Jobs. That's just ignorant.
The dead don't care and nobody gives a shit what you think.

Nope.
Not stupid at all.
You are stupid, because you don't understand it.
People like Hitler, exceptions. Regis never baked and gassed Jews.....cause they were Jews, now did he?
What it does, is shows you, as beyond ignorant. It's not about the dead....it's about the living. I don't suppose you understand that either, since you are sharp as a bowlin' ball.

Think about it.....as I realize thinking, is not your strong suit.

I had to look it up...I just had to.....

The Latin phrase De mortuis nihil nisi bonum (also De mortuis nil nisi bene [dicendum]) "Of the dead, [say] nothing but good", abbreviated as Nil nisi bonum, is a mortuary aphorism, indicating that it is socially inappropriate to speak ill of the dead as they are unable to justify themselves.

Ehhhh...I see both ways....
