Quick question I just would like to know what do the Red, Yellow etc. colored codes in the brief explanation on some some stories?

Yellow = new (for a week or more); Red = hot (at least a 4.5 rating with ten votes or more); Blue = placed in a themed contest; Green = editor's pick as a favored (by the submissions editor) read.
