People have become so comfortable in their white privilege that they don't want to be bothered with changing things that are obviously racially offensive.
Just ask yourself this question, and answer it honestly.
Does the mild discomfort that is associated with the decommissioning of a racist sports team name and logo, outweigh the pain,, and unrest caused by its continued usage???
Of course this applies to statues and military base names honoring racist traitors as well.
Are antiquated racist icons from Americas less enlightened past worth fighting for???
