I'm working on a concept for an erotic story based on the Bush song Machinehead. I'm thinking of titling the story Machinehead.

The idea is for the story to be told in a stream of conscious and impressionistic style, like the song. The theme would be sexual liberation. I don't have any details worked out.

Has anyone taken a song as a springboard for an erotic story concept? Any thoughts about the experience, if so?

Actually, yes. I wrote a three-story series based on the old sixties tune "Midnight Confessions" by the Grass Roots. In my story, it was about a husband and wife, lying in bed in the middle of the night, confessing their "indiscretions" and each getting turned on by the other's stories.

But my most true-to-the-source-material one was Brand New Tennessee Waltz which is my best guess as to what happens next when you steal your best friend's sweetheart during a dance (how could that possibly have a happy ending?!)

I haven't told a story that conformed to the song, but had a song inspire the story.

Call of the Dove. There is no sex in the story and it is kinda over the top.

no, i've not take a song for the whole store, nt yet. but partially they were included, summer(the fiorst tiem) by bobby goldsborom,, in the court of the crimson king by king crimson, Le rossignol anglais by Hugues Aufray etc.
