Well, people would certainly open up their minds to new sexual experiences in many cases, wouldn't they?

What if it was multiple roommates..and everyone had to do each other in that room? So, like four roommates, gender mix utterly random. Sometimes, all guys, all girls, three girls and a guy, three guys and a girl, two of each, etc. I could easily see pressure forming on them because some would expect them to be faithful to their roommates, but what if they already had girlfriends, boyfriends, fuckbuddies, etc.? That could prove very...stormy and lead to some interesting lovers' spats and make-up sex.

I liked where you were going. It reminded me of Starship Troopers, or was it Stranger in a Strange Land? where everyone swapped partners each night while in the military. It was strictly hetero because of the social commentary from Heinlein.

And then you lost me at grades.

I think it'd be fun to have room mates roll dice or have a line-up so they swap out GFs or whatever every other night. And everyone can learn and it's a class project for Human Sociology or Gender Studies. Tha'd be intriguing.

I disagree. I think the concept of grades, or at least of some sort of award, helps give the story spice and incentive to get crazy. You could get points for how many orgasms you give, or for different types of acts.

Perhaps a scholarship is available to the student who gets the highest point total. Some of the students gunning for the top will go absolutely wild and do anything with anyone sexual to win.

Simon sees my intent- without some incentive to participate, it would be too easy for students to simply not obey the "must have sex" rule. I suppose expulsion could work, but that seems extreme and hard to apply to cases of reluctant or infrequent obedience.

The way I see it, the students start out embarrassed and reluctant. But with the promise of a reward, they begin to loosen up and after a while everybody is sex-mad and going nuts.

Also, I'd suggest that, rather than this being an annual or every semester thing, it's a new experiment, and nobody knows how it's going to go.

I have played with something similar situation quite often, but usually for a lot shorter periods of shuffling, one night generally. In an forced environment that's very... communistic, for lazy and inaccurate short description. Basically subjects (students or workers, or passengers, or whomever they are) are divided in two queues, one (mostly) female the other (mostly) males, this division may or may not be by choice. Each go through showers facility into sleeping quarters no clothes or even personal items are allowed in. One by one they board a pod in order, with may have one or none inhabitants already; the second member always (or at least normally) drawn from the other queue, supposedly randomly. The environment being a space ship or hive-like arcology the sleeping pods may even physically shuffle to collect the inhabitants. Sex is expected, but not mandatory; you still have to do some seduction. The subjects may or may not discover patterns or glitches that allow for repeated or favorable encounters, or suspect that overseeing system (whatever it is) is having an agenda or playing games with them, or the couple allocation being less than fairly random.

I had this notion or fantasy years ago set in an alternate world where the White Guards beat the Bolsheviks, but eventually, Russia became a highly militarized society with even women serving as soldiers alongside men (and indeed women did, but in the Soviet, Communist system)..skip ahead to a future Russia that has a lot of fraternization issues with women often getting fucked by their comrades, sometimes to get pregnant and get freed from military service.
