A more mature, sensible approach that treats governing as serious business, not as another form of entertainment, for instance. And doesn't think that science is a bad word. Doesn't think that teaching creationism and abstinence-only are good public policy. Doesn't take anti-vaxers and climate science deniers any more seriously than you would take the tabloids.

Only to the extent that Conservatism in the USA is largely founded in the political philosophy of English liberalism.

I don't agree with the authoritarianism they show for social issues and state intervention into individuals private matters without due process.

Libertarians are radical liberals who reject the concept of positive liberty altogether.

I understand and respect most of our founding classical liberal roots, but I also recognize and in many cases support positive liberty so I'm not a libertarian either.



You still have yet to explain how I'm not a liberal or cite any illiberal political positions or viewpoints that I have posted.
