RNC Offers Convention Delegates A Side Of Heatstroke With Their COVID-19

Donald Trump's going to have to get out his magical weather map Sharpie again. Since coronavirus didn't disappear as promised, the RNC is contemplating shifting its nominating convention to an outdoor venue for safety. The only problem is, it gets kinda hot in Florida in August, and sometimes they have the occasional hurricane. Luckily, Trump controls NOAA, so he can ensure that it's 78 and sunny with a swipe of his pen!

Six weeks ago, the president blew up three years worth of planning and set fire to $38 million of already-spent donations by yanking his planned coronation from Charlotte, North Carolina, after that state's governor refused to promise to allow tens of thousands of strangers to jam into a convention hall to shout virus into each other's faces. Because if you allow for social distancing at your party convention, then the terrorists win! So he moved it to Florida, which promptly set about turning itself into a covid hotspot with cases spiking and hospitals dangerously close to reaching capacity. Dangit, DeSantis!

The city of Jacksonville, where Trump's convention is scheduled for August 23, currently has a mask requirement and an indoor capacity cap of 50 percent of normal occupancy. So now The Washington Post reports that Trump's crack team are pivoting yet again, and may hold Trump's Bareback Covidpalooza Magathon at an outdoor venue. Because nothing says fun like thousands of MAGA hatted delegates, many of them in suits and ties, baking in the Florida heat as they listen to endless speeches extolling the Dear Leader.

:D

Trump considered selling Puerto Rico: Ex-DHS chief says the president asked ‘can we sell the island?’

President Donald Trump’s former acting Secretary of Homeland Security says the leader of the free world considered selling Puerto Rico.

Elaine Duke, who describes herself as a lifelong Republican, spoke with The New York Times in a “wide-ranging interview” about her 14 months working for Trump.

“Among her most searing moments during the response to the hurricanes came when she heard Mr. Trump raise the possibility of ‘divesting’ or ‘selling’ Puerto Rico as the island struggled to recover,” the newspaper reported.

Who would buy an island that is that much in debt to the vultures of Wall Street?

Watchdog Says Agency Played Politics in Sharpiegate Fallout

https://www.courthousenews.com/watchdog-says-agency-played-politics-in-sharpiegate-fallout/

Gustafson’s 115-page report calls this drama at odds with the goals of weather forecasting, which she calls an “apolitical public service.”

“Instead of focusing on NOAA’s successful hurricane forecast, the department unnecessarily rebuked NWS forecasters for issuing a public safety message about Hurricane Dorian in response to public inquiries — that is, for doing their jobs,” Gustafson wrote.

Friday’s audit notes that the situation evolved rapidly after Mulvaney wrote to Ross. “Things went crazy in the middle of the night,” recalled Dr. Neil Jacobs, who heads the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, as quoted in the report.

So far today we have had +59,566 new Covid-19 cases reported, so a death sentence for 3X the 9-11 casualties can be expected. Give or Take a few Trumpublicunts.

Trump disappointed conservative media isn’t praising him enough for letting Roger Stone walk: report

President Donald Trump has been disappointed in right-wing media for not giving him more credit for pardoning longtime advisor Roger Stone.

“A senior administration official said there were serious divisions among Trump’s aides and allies over Stone’s case, with some cautioning that keeping him out of prison could be politically risky. Among those opposed was Attorney General William P. Barr, who called the prosecution ‘righteous’ in an interview Wednesday with ABC News, the official said, adding that those pushing Trump to show loyalty to Stone included Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), who is close to the president,” The Washington Post reported Saturday.

“By Saturday, Trump had grown frustrated that he was not getting more credit from conservative media and others for the Stone announcement, the official said. A second administration official said Trump had been warned that the commutation could depress his lagging poll numbers, but he wanted to make a statement against the Russia investigation and help Stone, and he personally worked to craft the messaging to defend the commutation,” the newspaper reported.

Trump apparently thought he would receive more credit if he bowed to the pressure to commute Stone’s prison sentence.

No one likes Trump or Stone. No Hero points allowed for supporting assholes, Donnie boy.:D:D

Trump’s attacks on the female Democratic leadership of Michigan have blown up in his face: report

According to a report from New York Times, Donald Trump’s obsessive attacks on the Democratic female leadership of Michigan have become a motivating factor for women in the rust-belt state to turn on the president and will likely hand the state to presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden in November.

Noting that the president won Michigan in 2016 by a slim 10,704 votes — his smallest margin of victory in the country — the Times explains that the president’s attacks on Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Attorney General Dana Nessel and Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, has resonated with voters in the state — and not in a good way.

Lumpy's personality is not doing him any good in Michigan. :D:D:D

What the oligarchy fears the most

Jamie Dimon, chief executive of JPMorgan Chase, took the knee last month before cameras at a branch of his bank. Larry Fink, CEO of giant investment fund BlackRock, decried racial bias. Starbucks vowed to “stand in solidarity with our black partners, customers and communities.” Goldman Sachs chairman and CEO David Solomon said he grieved “for the lives of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and countless other victims of racism.”

And so on across the highest reaches of corporate America, an outpouring of solidarity with those protesting brutal police killings of black Americans and systemic racism.

But most of this is for show.

The only way systemic injustices can be remedied is if power is redistributed. Power will be redistributed only if the vast majority – white, Black and brown – join together to secure it.

Which is what the oligarchy fears most.

United we stand, if we want to live in a egalitarian society. :):)

‘The rats are leaving the sinking ship’: Internet stunned after Lindsey Graham agrees to let Mueller testify on Trump

Oh No! he's losing Lindsey too!

Senate Judiciary Committee Charman Lindsey Graham (R-Sc) stunned political observers on Sunday by siding with Democrats to allow former special counsel Robert Mueller to testify before his committee about his investigation into the Donald Trump administration.

Following a Mueller op-ed published Saturday in The Washington Post expressing displeasure with Donald Trump commuting Roger Stone’s sentence, Graham tweeted, “Apparently Mr. Mueller is willing – and also capable – of defending the Mueller investigation through an oped in the Washington Post,” before adding, “Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee have previously requested Mr. Mueller appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee to testify about his investigation. That request will be granted.”

Wait until Kamala get to ask her questions! :D:D:D:D

As virus rages in US, Trump finally wears a mask

Bethesda (United States) (AFP) – US President Donald Trump wore a face mask in public for the first time Saturday, finally yielding to intense pressure to set a public health example as the coronavirus rampages across America.Trump had on a dark mask with the presidential seal as he walked through the corridors of Walter Reed military hospital outside Washington to meet wounded veterans.Trump strode past reporters and did not stop to speak to them about what had become a hotly anticipated moment — would he have a change of heart on a practice recommended by the government’s own medical expert…

Cover up that ugly mug, Donnie boy!:)

Rudy Giuliani unexpectedly reveals ‘all’ of Trump’s IRS audits have been ‘settled’

Rudy Giuliani, an attorney for President Donald Trump, on Sunday attempted to connect liberal billionaire George Soros to a prosecutor’s effort to subpoena the president’s financial records. The president’s lawyer also claimed that “all” of Trump’s tax audits had been “settled.”

During an interview on Fox News, Giuliani said that a Supreme Court case which found that the president does not have “absolute immunity” against prosecution was “terribly decided.”

Think about what this means to Rudy, who is under investigation of fuckery too!:)

White House ripped for leaking their ‘Tyrion Lannister move’ — on how they’re going to stop the leaks

President Donald Trump’s administration received harsh criticism after Axios reported on the scheme the White House is using to try to identify leakers.

“President Trump’s chief of staff, Mark Meadows, has told several White House staffers he’s fed specific nuggets of information to suspected leakers to see if they pass them on to reporters — a trap that would confirm his suspicions,” Axios reported Sunday.

“This hunt for leakers has put some White House staffers on edge, with multiple officials telling Axios that Meadows has been unusually vocal about his tactics,” Axios noted. “So far, he’s caught only one person, for a minor leak.”

Well not the smartest Mark in the deck.:) I mean leaking that fact that you were selectively probing you own staff with misinformation, or merely tracking the flow of your dementia? Twitter was particularly punishing . :D:D:D:D:D

Trump ripped as a ‘traitor’ by veterans for his mask photo-op at Walter Reed Hospital

The veteran advocacy organization Vote Vets on Sunday blasted President Donald Trump for holding a photo-op at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

After a round of golf on Saturday, Trump traveled to the hospital to be photographed by the press pool wearing a mask, which was a first since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Vote Vets, which says it has raised over $120 million since being founded in 2006 and made over 50 million voter contacts, released a new video on Trump’s visit.

The ad says it shows “what wounded warriors see when Trump comes for a photo-op.”

Words then begin to appear on Trump’s mask.
“Putin won’t let me say a word about Russian bounties on your heads,” the words read.

The hashtag #TraitorTrump then appears on the mask.
