Yale University was named for Elihu Yale. Not just a man who had slaves. An actual slave trader. Yale needs to change it’s name immediately and strip the name of Yale from every building, piece of paper, and merchandise.

Otherwise, they and their graduates support racism.

Huh. Eli. That explains so much. :)

Let re-name everything and re-write history

Let's tear down everything in the world. Re-name everything. Invent a new global language. Re-write history and become a politically correct planet. We can start with Yale but let's keep the ball rolling and smash and burn homes and schools and anything and everything. After all, that cop had his knee on a guys neck and he end up dying.

Some name options: Y'all, Stale, Master, Wasp, and New Haven School of Political Cosmetology.

Buying your way into an Ivy League school isn't looked upon as illegal, it's expected. :)

You won't hear me complaining if every fraud who made a fortune off exploiting slaves, sweatshops, child labor, etc, etc were thrown on the trash heap of history. The only place they should be remembered is in history books, and museums where their lives can be put into context.

On 10 May 1933, the students burned upwards of 25,000 volumes of "un-German" books in the square at the State Opera, Berlin, thereby presaging an era of uncompromising state censorship.

"One of the many tragedies that have unfolded in the wake of the Islamic State (IS) is their smashing of statues and the destruction of ancient archaeological sites. Indeed, the rapid and terrifying advance of the IS has proved fatal for much invaluable heritage.

They toppled priceless statues at the Mosul Museum in northern Iraq. They used sledgehammers and power tools to deface giant winged-bull statues at Nineveh on the outskirts of Mosul. At Nimrud, IS detonated explosives, turning the site into a giant, brown, mushroom cloud. They used assault rifles and pickaxes to destroy invaluable carvings at Hatra; and at Palmyra in Syria they blew up the 2,000-year-old temples dedicated to the pagan gods Baal Shamin and Bel.

It’s difficult to interpret the unprecedented scale of this heritage destruction. The global media and politicians have tended to frame these events as random casualties of wanton terror or as moments of unrestrained barbarism.

UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Director General Irina Bokova, for instance, reacted to the destruction of Nimrud by arguing that such attacks were underpinned by “propaganda and hatred”. There is, she said, “absolutely no political or religious justification for the destruction of humanity’s cultural heritage”.

New York City was founded by slave traders and hosted slave trading. And named after a slave trainer.

Better or worse than Yale?
