A task force on criminal justice reform, charged with shaping Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s public policy agenda and intended to guide the Party’s 2020 platform, is composed of extremist members with radical views directly tied to organizations that believe America is an inherently racist country that must be fought through a radical transformation.

“Weaponized whiteness” poses an existential threat to people of color in the U.S.; police departments must undergo radical change to “better serve a race of people historically oppressed by it;” and “anything less than a radical transformation” of the U.S. is unacceptable. These are just some of the views promoted by members tasked with shaping the Democratic Party reforms of the justice system, should the party gain power in the upcoming 2020 elections.

Extremists of any stripe are bad news for the country in general. The Republicans have had this problem for years- catering to the fringe and alienating most of their core base (which once included me, believe it or not.) Hence we had Trump running against Ted Cruz in the 2016 primary- and I don't think Cruz would have been any better than what we ended up with. So now according to you, the Democrats are going the same way, although to be honest, you are exaggerating their platform JUST A LITTLE BIT (gee do ya think???) If EITHER party ran a candidate as a moderate, decent human being who truely respected and cared about the American People and their best interest, they would be a shoo-in for the white house. (And if you still believe Trump to be that person you have obviously not been paying attention to the news.)
