The tower is the church office building. The worship space is less creepy.

Pretty cool at night.

One common aspect of modern/postmodern architecture is the vast wall of glass on parts of buildings that don't have windows. Glass-grade sand is a black market commodity. Beaches and riverbeds are scooped at night.

Flat roofs are cheaper to build, but more expensive to maintain. Businesses make that tradeoff because they plan to move in a few years with suburban sprawl, and maybe because air conditioners are harder to steal from rooftops.

The best one for me was the Metropolitan museum in NY.
This Greek slash Roman immitation of monumental architecture in the midst of skyscrapers and modern high-end businesses (banks, boutiques and Maisies, as luxurious as it once used to be)

Back in my Army days, I lived about three miles from that for a couple of years. If memory serves, the remains if the structure are supposed to be a reminder to the Germans of the cost of war.
