I sometimes wonder if women can tell that i am bi-curious and submissive. I've only had one woman that I knew that had asked me if i was gay. I'm not sure that gay men necessarily come off as being feminine. I've heard that some gay men don't even like feminine men because they prefer men. So, you wouldn't necessarily have to come off as feminine to be assumed gay. Maybe she picked up on other traits that she has experienced with straight men. Your lack of need to be an alpha male could possibly be an indicator for her.

This was the situation with my first wife. She did not know for certain, only suspected this about our good friend and me.
