LIBZ "care" about borders between Turkey and Syria, dont care about US border

They care more about their socialist comrades in the ME than the USA that they are openly seeking the destruction of.

Note, these people were contented to see unilateral pullouts in places like Iraq
and violence without US intervention (other than airstrikes) from
Kosavo to Libya, so this is not principled rejection of policy
but rather, as I used to point out about p_p_man
who was always opposed to the use of US
military power, UNLESS, the EU
was allowed to deploy it...

This means the only objection that the Progressive Left has
is that we took their projection of power away from them...

Surely I'm not the only one who is thinking: "gosh, imagine if the US meddled between Syria and Turkey, and kept their boots on the ground in Syria.."

now that the US is weakened from within by covid and riots.

In no way is this meant as an apology for Trump, it looks from the outside perspective that Both he and Democratic mayors mishandled the two crises.

But I think he might have possibly averted ?? ww3 ??

False premise by the OP, so no need to provide further response.

Drama Queen much???

Support for defending the Kurds along the Syrai/Turkish border is bipartisan, as is protecting the southern border. Just because Democrats and quite a few republicans believe there is a better way to protect it than building a wall doesn't mean they don't care about it.

Obama also cared about illegal immigration, and deported many criminals illegally in the United States. He did t get the nickname " the deporter in chief " for nothing.

The Democratic Party has not caved to its leftist elements the way the Republican Party has caved to its right wing elements.

Is Syria still a thing?

After Obama dropped tens of thousands of bombs on Syrians and infrastructure I thought it had disappeared.

Shit.

I did not intend to focus on the illegal immigration issue, I chose a "Syria" thread with fewer posts.
I should have chosen a different one, my bad

Trump's decision to withdraw support for PKK,
once they shifted their agenda from fighting ISIS to trying to re-build "the Great Kurdistan"
was one of the best strategic moves ever.

Had the PKK got their way -- 1. corridor on the border with Turkey 2. followed by attack on Turkey's integrity
the whole E/SE Europe, particularly Greece (on which Erdogan has been threatening to dump their 2 mil. refugees) would have been destabilised.
Not just the Middle East.

But you fat arrogant British and American virtue-signaling fucks don't give a fuck, do you? It's not YOUR countries who are bordering on Turkey or Syria.
As long as you can stick it to Trump and suck Obama's war-mongering cock.

The United States needs all the friends it can get in the Middle East. The Kurds were looking like a reliable ally. I agree that US intervention has not been a panacea in the Middle East but there is no way to know what the world would look like right now if the US and other countries hadn't intervened. Even Bush Jr.s invasion of Iraq can be looked at from a different perspective. What if the US hadn't invaded Iraq and Saddam had been allowed to negotiate oil contracts with China like he was planning to do. Who knows what the world would look like today.
Because no one knows, all the US can do moving forward, is try to build relationships around the world and partner with reliable allies. In this area Trump has been an abject failure.

Shit.

what a mess, the Middle Eastern situation.
And how simplistically stupid (John Wayne versus the bad guys) and self-serving - Leftist mass media's narratives.

I was just now watching the videos (how Assad dealt with the Syrian Arab spring) that made him go in history as a genocidal dictator, and made countries justify their invasion of Syria

And, while the way he brutally squashed the uprising WAS indisputably wrong and barbaric,
I now can't help but wonder if things were as black and white as I thought.
There were also looters and arsonists and violent protesters, among the good ones. JUST LIKE NOW IN THE US!!

Your leaders (Democrat Mayors + Trump) are placed in a terrible bind.
