Communism is pretty much dead as a functioning system anywhere. Even countries claiming to be communism based aren't any more--they are mostly rightest dictatorships now. Anyone invoking "communism" here identifies themselves as not knowing much about what communism was and is and how it relates to anything actually functioning. They are just using what they take as a dirty word they don't understand and thus proposing themselves as worthy of being ignored (and laughed at).

If you know what communism is and you know that Putin was a KGB intelligence officer then you can easily see with Russia's annexation of Crimea plus their invasion of the Ukraine, Putin is trying to reestablish the old Soviet Union. Should Russia reconquer the Ukraine it will be his jumping off point to invade the other countries making up the old Soviet Union. The only thing standing in his way is the lack of money.

Our current situation with the protests plus covid-19 and including our dictator loving leader makes for an ideal situation for our leader to hand over our country to Putin.

There is no doubt that racial division empowers and enriches many people and organizations. It is a lucrative business and anchor for gaining/maintaining power.

But, also no doubt, there remains racial divide that continue 150 years after the Civil War. Whether that will ever end is anybody's guess. There are generations of hate and anger still in existence. The good news is that most of the country - a vast majority - has moved on, is tolerant, and is decent. Obviously, that is not enough.
