White Officers in Minority Communities

Since these communities are telling us that the police, our society and Donald Trump
are perpetrators of systemic and pervasive racism, maybe it is a good time
to end this practice, lay them all of and come up with a new
community-based alternative to policing in general.

Black officer's in the black community aren't received any better. Locally about half the force is Hispanic and they are shunned in the area of the city that is crime ridden and is virtually all Hispanic. Not unlike the problem areas in other cities the problems revolve around gang activity.

"Community Policing" was a good idea and well worth the effort to try to make it work but the "community" has to accept the notion too and there is where it all starts coming apart.

It is worth noting that virtually all of these "bad" cop incidents occur in high crime area's. Area's where there is cop/criminal interactions on damn near an hourly basis.

Hogjack has advocated doing away with the police entirely. That isn't going to happen anytime soon but there are modified alternatives. Pull the cops back to some perimeter, reroute and/or barricade some streets to limit access, and let the denizens of those areas do what they will. Of course that will raise a hew and cry of "racism" as well. Pointing out that the cops are caught in a "damned if you do, and damned if you don't" situation.

"Police State!" Shades of "Tricky" Dick. Obviously the motive behind that is the same, make Trump the fall guy for it all. Police are local and purposely so. NO president has any jurisdiction over local police. And the dangers in having a National Police are just far to great to list.

In those areas of greatest unrest the politicians have enacted laws that make it almost impossible for the citizen to protect themselves or their property. Either by severely restricting access to firearms, or turning the citizen into the criminal if they dare to use them.

And you are absolutely correct in the observation that those politicians are acting out of fear for themselves so they project their fear on the populace all in the name of "saving you." They aren't saving squat. All they've done is make it safer for the criminal to go about their trade.

STEP 2

No WHITE COPS anywhere in the US should deal with BLACK CITIZENS. Ever.

This can also be done. Police departments already have similar policies and procedures. For example:

• most departments use female officers to deal with female rape victims;
• in many situations experienced officers are dispatched to certain types of calls for service instead of assigning younger, less experienced officers;
• in some situations a canine unit is assigned.

These are just some examples of police departments deploying assets that make sense. White cops should be replaced by black cops when dealing with black citizens. Black citizens should feel safe when dealing with police. Right now they might be killed.
