Well, it's probably misleading to call the leading guy V a vampire, he unlikely have any superpowers, except he's secretly like over two hundred years old despite looking on forty. He had just bribed The Corporation to let him use some deep underground (or deep space, or deep space underground, probably a temporary abandoned mine or some such) facility for some kind of personal secret research (probably fringe physics, but whatever).

V expected to be there alone and is quite annoyed when he is welcomed in place by X, an androgynous woman with slightly Japanese features. It soon becomes apparent she's a Synth, "synthetic human" android of a generation believed destroyed in a violent riot for demanding human rights. Sexually abused by the previous owner she makes an offer to V with he declines, but she downloads latest sex software for compatible series and seduces him anyway, despite his concerns of her true motives. It seems The Corporation may be aware of her presence in the facility, but it isn't clear do they know who she really is.

It's about then when two more characters enter the scene, a teen looking redhead G and her bodyguard R, an obvious robot made to resemble a burly black man. The short confrontation in which G try to sic R on V end with X taking control and not only stoping R, but also gaining control of the microdozator ("happy pach") implant G has tricked to accept "voluntary," allowing V to mess with G's hormone levels and other body chemistry, but falling short of direct mind control. Even so it remains unclear why exactly G is even there (and nobody can leave unless V says so), but she turns out to be capable hacker herself, and apparently related to some in position of power in The Corporation. Btw, R was originally her parent's butler she hand reprogrammed to be her sex toy, among other things.

...and that's about when the dream disintegrated for me wanting too much editorial control...

And yes, it's complete mind fuck, more than anything else. And perhaps, even literally. At least between the robots, but I'm unclear how to voyeur on that.

Perhaps V is looking to subvert the happy patch, something that’s hinted at behind locked, barred and boobytrapped vault doors and a half dozen layers of crypto. If so, V gets the girl, not the synth. Perhaps synths of her model have a similar software controller that has analogous effects on the synth?

As far as Robbie, ever hear of Xxxenophile? Dirty comics with aliens, mythic beasts, etc. Fun stuff, at least to my kinked view of the world. There’s one strip where a megacorp/nation is trying to make a killer bot. A saboteur throws a monkey wrench into the works, by smuggling a strap on into the facility while the robot’s doing overnight, unattended stress testing running on a reinforced treadmill.

Ms super spy loops the camera footage, interrupts the testing, and does her own destructive version, by riding that strap on for hours, causing unexplainable wear and tear on the robot’s hips, legs, & lower spine.

Not sure how or even if that scene fits your dream, just what my subconscious flagged for my attention & I’d thought I’d share!

That's an interesting thought I haven't identified and it makes a lot of sense and gives a valid overarching plot. I didn't learn his goals, for him being quite distracted from work, but when, shortly before arrival of the uninvited guests, X asked, "So, what we will be working on?" V quipped, "Why, weapons, of course." However he was ironic saying that.

Being merely passenger in his head, I interpreted it that his work could be weaponized, and while not his primary goal, there's understanding it's inevitable. While subverting happy path isn't a weapon in a classical sense... It easily explains V's extreme concern about privacy of his work, and fits his twisted (lack of) morality -- with was partly why I called him a vampire; also how he looks at G with distinct undercurrent of predator-to-prey attitude.

When early on V implies sexual assault, in attempt to scare her in leaving (still assuming her to be human, but also, testing against it, the whole scene was rather bizarre), she froze, then claim she has all the relevant hardware for sex, but no software to enjoy it herself, effectively announcing she's an android -- what doesn't surprise V at first; the reveal of the specific model shortly afterwards do.

For what I then learned, before the Synth riots X was executive assistant. Now she's posing as maintenance of the closed facility, hibernating with it. The lack of software might have been corporate policy for her position, or owner's whim. It didn't bother her previous boss, who went even further, abusing "hardware test mode" to use her as conscious, but inert doll. When V refuse to continue such practice, she claims that she have to fill a formal request for the sex worker software, what V initially take as smart assed rebuff and since he isn't all that interested is quite surprised when she very obviously had managed to install it. Of course, there's no reason to believe a word from her; it all, or any part of it, could be a play.

Thing is, if she's right, the software she downloaded is (possibly many) decades newer than the last (publicly known) fully functional Synth. While somewhat similar artificial bodies are in use (understandably in sex work especially), the AI capabilities have been intentionally limited. The unintended consequences of the untested "incompatibilities" may be interesting.

V isn't surprised when X stops R as easily as snapping her fingers, calling him a piece of junk and announcing "ALL electronics in this facility is under my control," but then she points to G and adds, "including that little thing in you, missy!" and G is forced to grasp and nearly collapse, it is not only G who is in shellshock (because it shouldn't be possible), but it quite a shock for V too, but mostly for the ease with which X did that; his emotions was a mix of intrigue and what rather felt as anger and jealousy.

I can only imagine it as a comic aside where either X experiment with R in a sex toy role herself -- being curious, given she is in fact still very new to the concept of enjoyable sex, or, mostly for similar reasons, when X dominate G and force the situation on them, or combination. It might be the repair effort that result in him being rebuilt into a combat ready monstrosity. I think he is only there to be obvious last in the pecking order and someone who is assumed to be okay to abuse and toy with by default.

Since V has the keys of the facility and X is considered inventory in it, so he is formally in charge, but X is who really control the facility, presumably including life support. G is there either chasing V for whatever reason, or by X invitation, unintentional or not, but either way likely illegally; R is merely her toy. V, X and G all three compete over control of G's implant and, less fierce, over control of R. It would be interesting if G discovered a way to mess with X, at very minimum she may deny her full control of the facility, with or without V's mandate, and of course G may attempt to manipulate V being not at all that innocent as she may look at first, and she can appeal to being biological human. R can be obviously dangerous to V, holding build in loyalty to G but unable to refuse X's control, at least limited. Girls may find common ground, being women, artificial or not, and both have personal agendas, with may align or clash, or both. V has a situation to navigate.
