purr-fect x

I can’t today.
I probably shouldn’t work tonight
But I plan to
Just to get out
Get away
From this feeling of being stuck
Feeling less than
Feeling alone like this
Feeling like never enough
Feeling like I lost
Feeling like I’m drowning in tears
Feeling like the world is on a vendetta
Feeling forever sunk
Feeling like I can’t
That takes over my entire mind
The same way you do
With a single kiss
Which I wish we were sharing right now...

Crushing. I hope you get that kiss soon, too...

The City Inside Us All Burns

I kneel with many
In quiet protest
While sleeping
The day and evening
Turns into cacophony
Distant glass shattering
Flash bombs
Blocks reclaimed slowly
Ordered with umbrellaed mobs
Screaming for justice
And crying inside
For a leader to emerge
From rubble left
After thrown rocks fall.

There is no specific blame
As the smoke rises
Over the brick streets
Covered in the aftermath
Of both storms
Which slosh down gutters
And sink in deeper,
Spilling across a nation
Frustrated, angry,
Heated, aflame,
Heading into pouring rain
And rubber bullets
To be pulled out of skin
Of every colour
Sewn back together
With care deserved.

Stand up.
Sit in.
Be strong.
Vote.
Stop hurting over hurt.
Learn from our past
As a young country.

We can do better.

Complain, protest, argue are fine, looting, firebombing, wanton destruction is not.

Fall into me
Like numbers off a calendar
Always turning over
A new day,
With time marching
Running away with things held dear
Until the loss catches up.

Morning dew still sits
Upon the white statues
Holding their heads high
For a goddess bright
With no mission but to live,
Thrive where your body lays.

I want to thrive with her command,
But find myself smoothbound
To her opposite,
A darkened land of questions
And few answers given
While tredging through
A sea of fluttering white petals
With green trunks.

You, the light.
My steady center.
Holding my entirety close.
Keep me calmed
Even in a storm of thoughts
Threatening my sanity
With their teeth gnashing
As the swaying dream of us
Moves nearer,
Towards the unending.

Nice flower.

There is a field of them
On my drive home
I couldn’t help myself
And needed to pull over,
Feel them brush against
My stocking-coated legs,
And wander amongst them
For a brief moment.

I stole two from the earth,
One for me.

Moochienanu - To modestly partake of a bountiful gift from the Earth, is not thievery. To delight in the sensual beauty of such a gift, and to share it with others, is a loving display of humbleness and gratitude.

Beautiful. Thank you. It is good for the soul to commune with the Earth.

My silence

My silence
Takes on it’s own voice
And stabs at
The ones who would silence others.

My silence
Means I am listening
To so many
Who scream out with injustice.

My silence
Allows those
Who need an audience
To take mine.

My silence
Isn’t weakness,
But a need for you to see
Who might be less visible.

My silence
Doesn’t equate to weakness,
But rather,
To a strength amongst kindred spirits.

I am silent,
But with a mission
To raise up those
Who are not born
With my privilege.
I will never take it for granted.

Moochienanu, there is so much strength here in these words, and so much tenderness. Your eloquent prose is an unflinching embrace of the less privileged and overlooked of our world. I admire your selfless admission of being a part of a more privileged class, and vowing never to take this “unearned” blessing for granted – but to use it... to “acknowledge and elevate” those born without it.

If there is a God, Moochienanu… you made Him smile today… and maybe even shed a tear...

May our silence never be confused with complacency, for complacency is the true enemy to the betterment of man and womankind!

I love  you more today than ever Moochie! These words came straight from your heart. Your gentle resilience shaped them into one of your greatest Missives….

Love - Always,
EROS :rose:

Hollow

Echoed voices across chasms
Light through fog,
In cutting jabs
Fill space with illumination
And also leaves all of the
Questions - what still lies
In the shadows
Where the dawn beams
Cannot shine?

Come be my beacon
So I can curl up
Inside the warmth of you,
And be bathed
In that voice
Which luminously glows,
Reaching deeper
With each word.

You are a beacon to many,
Silent yet shining bright,
Warm and loving,
Bathing us all with your luminosity,
I hope that is always the case,
For we know not how it would be without it

An anonymous thought comes to mind,
That something is more appreciated
When it is no longer there
Than when you’re able
To firmly grasp it.

Or something to that effect.

🌷

I need you

Two slick
Sweat dripping
Earth shaking
Fuck grease
Down and over
Hard and deep
Showering thoughts
Of hairpulling
Water slapping
Sounding further
Farther fallen
Holding tighter
Thrusting, reaching
Unfathomable depth
In new levels
Of unwritten words
Spoken under currents
Formed by
Gliding bodies
Fervently searching
Under buttons
For flesh.
