Any singles sites worth anything?

I'm basically looking for a single's site, and would like reviews of them.

A friend was all about oursecretflirts dot com, but when I looked into it, it looked too much like a scam. The women's ads just seem like they've all been written by men, and when I signed up, I got a LOT of email, most of which saying I had such a hot picture they had to have me, but replying to any of them would cost cash, and as smitten as they claim to be, not one in the hundreds of them that have sent messages has ever included a phone number. (And most of the ads in my state don't list a city they are in!) Oh, and it never saved anything I typed into my profile to describe either myself or the woman I might want to meet.

I wasn't inclined to spend cash on it. I asked my friend, who had spent lots of cash, and it turned out he hadn't actually met or spoken with anyone yet. When he tried, that just somehow didn't happen. He isn't spending money there, anymore.

Ages ago, when match dot com was free, I actually met and dated a woman from that site. It's kind of expensive, now.

My wife and I have decided to give polyamory a try. I'm home all the time now. (high risk for covid) I would like some help meeting local folks, and would like to be upfront about already having married my nesting partner. In that I used to get told I smothered women I date, I'm thinking less than all of me might actually be just right for someone.

Anyone having good luck with a site?

scam

Most of the women on those sites, if they're hot, are scammers. The rest are butt ugly.

None of them are worthwhile? I did meet a woman, decades ago, on match.com, though that relationship ended badly.

Just use Tinder, like a normal person.

Or, if you have something more specific in mind, find a specific website. I don't want monogamy, so I'm on a 'swingers' site - I'm not really interested in swingers per se, but it attracts a range of relatively open-minded people in a fairly small market.

And it's also all about the profile. Just write a decent profile.

(Also, WTF is up with your friend - what did he THINK was going to happen?)

That's not true at all. Many single women enjoy watching porn/self-pleasure and sharing with online friends, but don't want to post personal pictures. Also, men seem to always want MORE.

The sites like AshleyMadison and Adultfriendfinder are scams with very few actual women on the site. I have read some interesting articles that most of the female ads on those site are bots. Years ago I tried AshleyMadison. During the trial I never got any PMs and only got crickets from what I had sent out. Just as my trial was about to expire I started to get all of these PMs from women but I needed to pay to see what they had written so I knew then that it was a scam. I don't believe there are many real women on those sites, married or single. Even if there are real women on those sites they are going to get overwhelmed just like they do here.

I don't know how many women on Match or OKCupid are looking for polyamorist relationships. As an earlier poster wrote, try Tinder.
