Minneapolis Protests

A murderer and an accomplice to murder. How stupid do you have to be to not think your gonna be recorded and that this wouldn't start a riot.....in the middle of a pandemic lockdown with everyone out of worked and stressed out. Wtf!

The faster they get these two behind bars the better.

The Other America from a speech by Dr King

"I think America must see that riots do not develop out of thin air. Certain conditions continue to exist in our society which must be condemned as vigorously as we condemn riots. But in the final analysis, a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it that America has failed to hear? It has failed to hear that the plight of the Negro poor has worsened over the last few years. It has failed to hear that the promises of freedom and justice have not been met. And it has failed to hear that large segments of white society are more concerned about tranquility and the status quo than about justice, equality, and humanity. And so in a real sense our nation's summers of riots are caused by our nation's winters of delay. And as long as America postpones justice, we stand in the position of having these recurrences of violence and riots over and over again. Social justice and progress are the absolute guarantors of riot prevention."

Priorities: MN health officials fear rioters will spread COVID-19

State Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm said it is understandable that people are protesting and speaking out following the death of a black man forcibly restrained by a white police officer, but that doesn't lessen the exposure risks from the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 at a pivotal time in the pandemic.

Does anybody wonder if the crowd gathered around filming and harassing the officers had any part in how long the cop used his knee on the guys neck to restrain him??

Think about it. If the cop has to keep his hands free to grab his weapon if some fool in the crowd decides to do something stupid, he can't use them to get the guy up into the squad car. The other cop can't help either because he was monitoring the crowd as well.

I'm gonna just say it.

The crowd helped kill the guy. Period.

Understood, but have you not noticed how
six people can view the same material and
come to six different conclusions?

;) ;)

There actually are laws about interfering in an officers ability to perform their duty.

These amateur paparazzi have caused injury and death in the past and will do so in the future.

I wasn't a cop but I did have some training in being cognizant of bystanders in a crisis situation, and recognizing that any one of them could be a potential threat.

I'll say it again.

The crowd helped kill the guy. Period.

Democrats ignore the concerns of black voters — again

Democrats traditionally rely on the historical allegiance of black voters to the party — as well as on shouting “racism” and “white supremacy” every chance they get — to get the black vote (touting the success of places with several decades of uninterrupted Democratic rule, such as Detroit, Baltimore, St. Louis, and Chicago, doesn’t appear to be as effective). Although electoral inertia and racial division have worked relatively well for Democrats for more than half a century, today’s startling disparity between Democratic policy positions and the concerns of black voters presents an opportunity for President Trump and Republican candidates generally.

Bonus.... Detroit's black voters tired of being ignored by Democrats

So did I.

The nearest protests were peaceful, but I did see video of police spraying what was described as mace into the crowd to disperse the protesters.

Nevermind. Heard from friends in the area the protests turned destructive in downtown overnight. Broken windows etc.

I did not absolve the cops for their role in the guys death, I just pointed to the crowds role in it. Mr. Floyd also had a role in it by his actions that triggered the entire incident.

I see the whole picture, not the image after it has been processed through the filter of racial bias.

Will the disgraced and forever fired for police brutality criminals be criminally charged?

Minneapolis Chief of Police Medaria Arradondo should be Fired.

Chief Arradondo surely had knowledge of Officer Derek Chauvin Police Brutality complaints. 12 to be exact!

Something has to be done about the Blue Wall of Silence!

The blue wall of silence denotes the informal rule among police officers not to report on a colleague's errors, misconducts, or crimes, including police brutality. If questioned about an incident of alleged misconduct involving another officer (e.g., during the course of an official inquiry), while following the code, the officer being questioned would claim ignorance of another officer's wrongdoing or claim to have not seen anything.
