One woman loves 5 men

1. She has to meet and become friends with five men who hit high physical standards of virile masculinity as well as being feminists at heart.
2. These men have to be comfortable being in a polyamorous relationship with this one woman (while not being attracted to each other because real men aren't bisexual, or something) when any of them probably has a dozen potential love interests.
3. She, an innocent young virgin with no experience of polyamory, has to have some motivation for not just picking one of them and having a normal one-on-one relationship like normal people have that leads hopefully maybe to a normal marriage and a normally distributed number of children.
4. She has to not be completely freaked out by the fact that her normal boyfriend is a lot more experienced than her and wants her to do things that no normal girl would want to do. She just wanted a nice hot boyfriend, ffs, and while a bit of oral is fun, does she really want to be tied up in rope by one man while the others take turns with her ass? Seriously? This fantasy just went seriously Fifty Shades.
5. Um, where was I?

So then are you saying that the sexual acts she engages in with the 5 men described in my orginial post is not needed or that it won't attract readers? I feel that the indepth descriptions of both the passion, love and romantic side and the progressive sexual journey they all take together is rather unique and can lead to a very interested readership.

Maybe I've got this wrong and need to think it through a little more or what do you think?

I think that the genre of this type of story is different than the Snow White fairytale parody that was being discussed, with characters named “Latex” or “Romance” instead of “Sleepy” or “Dopey” or “Doc”. Beyond that, I’m in agreement with the points you’ve made.

My suggestions for archetypes (not names!) of the 'dwarves' were definitely made tongue-in-cheek, sorry for side-jacking the conversation down the (ahem) rabbit hole.

I'm guessing there will be plenty of tongue-in-cheek, one way or another.

Aha! That makes a LOT more sense lol; sorry for my misunderstanding (I’m going to blame it on being up at 4am ;))

I think that a setting or arrangement like this could work. Yes, the logistics of how they meet/come to the being together part will need to be figured out to start the story, but as for the fact that these men share a single woman in a polyamorous relationship, introduce her to new and different sexual acts, start a family, etc. is highly plausible. Also, the story doesn't call for her being tied up and rotated between the men at all. She's free to move, free to call stop, they will respect her decisions and she's an equal in this relationship.

As for the bisexual aspect, the reason why I say it's entirely hetero is because I'm not bisexually orientated and can't see myself in that way (hence the hetero translation in the story). I mean normal gangbang stories I have read on Literorica have focused on the straight aspect of the act and those are the stories I enjoy the most. I only added the love aspect that the 5 men would have to the single woman and not toward each other because that's how I see it happening.

If you want to use the story and make the male characters have sexual interactions with each other, then sure, be my guest and play with that idea, but I am not orientated that way and only see the men having sexual interactions with the woman. However, I feel that the men need to be 100% comfortable of seeing another man naked, have his cock touch other's, and having other men's cum touch them or drip onto them (being together in her vagina would be a good example here).

In the real world this wouldn't exist, but in a story, well that's completely different now isn't it?

There're all kinds of stories, from ones with verisimilitude that seem plausible without stretching audience's suspenders of disbelief through a spectrum to those that are so fake and implausible no one can take them seriously. Note that this is explicitly not the quality of the story, nor how enjoyable it is. High-quality stories exist at each end of this spectrum, as do highly enjoyable ones. Instead, it's just another aspect of the story teller's art, and a choice to be made.

Make a choice as to where you wish to be on this (and all the other story-telling spectra), and have at it!

Exactly this; these are the intangibles that make this genre of story successful.

These stories have an overwhelmingly specific readership; the readers aren’t looking for a wide variety of sexual kink “types” or even a wide variety of character personalities. In these stories, the MMCs are are all hot, and their physical looks and prowess are basically the core of sexual (and personality) variety. The real point is that the men all, regardless of being “alpha males” with high sexual drives, have an underlying romantic, sensual, sexual and domestic (that’s a biggie!) obsession with the FMC and her emotions, and a willingness to share her solely for the purpose of keeping her in sexual ecstasy. These stories are very serious romances; I think that the porn parody you all are describing would fall in a different genre, and would not likely be the type of story that would, on the whole, attract these readers.

So I take it these stories are targeted primarily for a female readership?

The way you describe the genre, I think you're quite right. I was looking at the Snow White parody from a male point of view.

From the (anecdotal/unofficial) information I have, reverse-harem stories have a highly feminine fan base. Then again, parody or commentary involving an inversion of a norm can be quite effective.

I think I understand now. None of them are kinky in the slightest. They're just endlessly horny and and have watched too much porn where the woman takes three cocks in her ass.

Maybe to a reader, like myself, they would enjoy reading about these sexual acts along with the relationship and family aspect thrown in.

I mean a female reading this might get off becuase of the innocence of the woman, the progressive of sexual acts, the indepth descriptions and development of the story, the fantasy of having 5 men that love her and are devoted to her and where she is willingly gangbanged and starts a family with them.

I guess it's the same when a female dreams of an alien with tentacles ravishing her over and over as if they were mates.

There's a difference between real people in a fantastic context and fantasy people in a realistic context.

The way that the forum has been trending, I would be loathe to label it female vs male in case that's not really the "PC way" to explain it. But that would be my assumption, too, that these readers are probably primarily cishet, middle aged (my guess is based on the importance of marriage and domestic help/duties in these stories) and female.

I think I understand now. None of them are kinky in the slightest. They're just endlessly horny and and have watched too much porn where the woman takes three cocks in her ass.

No, the extent of the kink in these stories (at least, the couple of Vanessa Vale novels I've read) is the number of male lovers, and that they are usually brothers or cousins. The woman typically doesn't DP or TP. But there's always one, very meaningful scene about love/spiritual unification where the woman takes all of the men at once; depending on the number of men involved, the woman triple threats/PAMs. Otherwise, the stories are rather vanilla, and mostly about marriage and daily life and family planning.

Or rather, they're rather vanilla at least for cishet men's standards of kink. To be fair, women's kinks are quite possibly different than men's kinks. A famous joke:

An incredibly handsome man walks up to a woman seated alone at a bar and says, "Excuse me for interrupting you, but you are the most enchanting, beautiful, sensual creature I've ever seen. I will do anything you want me to do for however long you'd like for me to do it. No matter how kinky or perverted it is, I'll do it for you. But only on one condition."

The astonished woman looks at him with wide eyes as he leans his massive, sexy body over and hotly whispers in her ear, "You have to tell me what you want me to do in three words." He pulls away smirking, knowing that he's turned her on: her eyes are dilated, her skin is flushed, she's licking her lips and then biting the lower one. She looks deeply into his eyes with a seductive flair that makes him weak in the knees, crooks her finger to lure him close again, and whispers in his ear,

"Clean my house."

Once upon a time, a young princess set out on a quest to find a husband to rule at her side. To all the neighbouring kingdoms she travelled, and to many more distant allies too, and in each she studied the eligible princes, measuring their prowess on the battlefield and their wisdom in the home. A list she drew up, with pros and cons of each, and in time she whittled the many names down to a select few. But strive though she might, no argument of logic nor whimsy of her heart could reduce their number to below five, and in desperation she wrote to them all: "You are all fine upstanding gentlemen, and there is not one of you with whom I would not willingly share my all. In fairness, therefore, I invite you all to share my affections - or, if your heart is too jealous to abide such a royal relationship, to seek affection elsewhere."

To her public consternation (but secret delight), all five took up her offer, and a wedding was held unrivalled in history. The five grooms vowed before the gods to honour and love the fair princess, and after much celebration (for the toasts were many) the happy sextet retired to the royal chamber. For long hours into the night, the princess's cries of pleasure echoed through the palace halls. In turns they took her, then in pairs and trios, with legendary virility. With inexhaustable vigour they claimed their bride, whose cum-soaked face and breasts they cleaned with teasing kisses, and whose cum-soaked pussy was never empty of urgent cock.

But at last they slept, and when morning came and they stirred again, the princess gave each a list of chores and set them to work, for her quest was over and she needed a nice, relaxing bath.

That works. If the sex part is elaborated on and not covered in one night, then it would be a winner in my eyes.

Not sure I could take it seriously, but feel free to run with it, anyone who wants...

:D The version I first heard, a brassy prostitute approached a family man, whose three-word answer was, "Paint my house"

:D So, it looks like we have the answer: men and women's kinks are simply as different as the chores they don't want to do LOL!

But then that defeats having them all together at once. Otherwise she'll have 1 on 1 sessions all the time. I kinda like the whole gangbang scenario.

Snow had an eclectic calendar.

So, the half-brothers were named for the days of the week allowed for a lot of puns in the story. Like "most weeks Tuesday followed Monday, but this week Thursday, Friday and Sunday all CAME on Saturday." Or something like that, I like puns. -Barb
