I really appreciate the feedback! I'm trying to brainstorm a new MMF story, and it seems like the biggest thing people liked was believability, so I'll steer clear of anything too crazy for now...
I've seen a lot of negative comments about that section in the Author's Hangout forums... I don't really read the category, but it seems like the two extreme poles in it are a) revenge on a cheating wife or b) intense humiliation and cuckolding, which I'm not really into.
I think my next MMF story I'll take the advice and post in Gay Male. It bothers me a little bit, because I don't think bi stories really belong there, but I get it.
The trouble with Loving Wives is it's kind of a catch-all. There are definitely some true loving wife stories in there, but you're right, it tends to be the dumping ground for a lot of authors who don't know where else to put their work. The thing that always gets me is that the trolls - for the most part - go fucking bananas if the guys do anything together, but if it's the women going at it, you don't hear a peep.
We all here agree, there is no real place to put bi male stories on this site. Safest is definitely Gay Male, but that doesn't really fit, either, because, if anyone has read my lists, it's a broad category.
I've gotten into debates on other threads regarding what constitutes a bisexual story, and where it should go. The argument seems to be: "If it's between a man and a woman, it's straight." I argue right back, "Post a story between a husband and a wife where the husband gets pegged, or cleans her up after he cums inside her, and see what kind of reaction it gets."
As I've said a few times on this thread: If I feel the story would cause the trolls to lose their narrow little pea brains because the guys are going out of said trolls' comfort zone, it gets included in one of my lists. And I've found stories for y'all in damn near every category here at Lit.
And a bisexual category probably wouldn't be a cure for the problem, either, I'd guess, 'cause trolls just love to pop their poxy little protruberances in where no one really cares to have them. One way to limit their ability to spout their vitriol is to go out to your author dashboard and deactivate anonymous feedback. The majority of trolls love the fact that they can come in, waggle their offensive little appendages and trot back out without anybody knowing anything about them but their stupid, idiotic opinions. It won't deter the brave ones who don't give half a fuck whether you know who they are or not, but it will at least hold off the little pricks who don't have balls enough to put even their Lit monikers up for public knowledge of their closed mindedness. Of course, deactivating anonymous feedback also keeps away the positive comments, but if it's negative stuff you really don't want to hear, it's the option you have.
Oh, and adding something about the bi content in the description or a warning a the head of the story sometimes is no good, because I'm convinced some of the trolls see that and intentionally wade in to get their dander up so they'll have something to piss and moan about.
So, unfortunately, if you don't want to hear what the trolls have to say, Gay Male is the place, because the trolls generally stay away from there.
Sorry, I've gone off on a rant. One I think some of you may have heard from me in the past, but I think many of you have felt kind of the same thing from time to time.
I'll get down and put my soapbox away for now.
Gang, the best way for your bisex stories to find their intended audience is to post them here, cause the site is unable to help with the category system. Tags help, and definitely use those, but ultimately the fucking trolls are here to stay, so ignore them as best you can, and know that there IS an audience for your work, contrary to what the trolls have to say.
Cleanphil -- Hey, I read this morning, and really, really enjoyed it. Definitely cock-hardening, as I could see myself seeking out that same situation! At first, I thought of your main character, "how is it this guy is so comfortable trolling Craigslist for MMF action?" And then I thought -- if I were in the same situation (seriously bi-curious for years, but without the freedom or opportunity to seriously do anything about it), I'd probably have his same level of confidence and zeal! People who comment want to vent, but many of them also want to come back and read their own comment. Why let them? Deny them that pleasure.

I never did like the term ‘cuckold’ - it seems to carry with it a stigma that is mistakenly and widely applied to any man who, with his S.O., dreams of or engages in threesome sex with another man. There is a substantial number of folks on this site who feed off the humiliation aspect, where the husband is relegated to a submissive plaything, and I suppose that occasionally happens IRL. But not in my head, where my fables are created.
