His answer: No.

Truth: Yes he did.

Did he lie to the FBI about it on january 24th 2017? Yes he did.

Is lying to the FBI obstruction of Justice? Yes it is.

Did Flynn plead guilty? Yes he did.

All of these are facts not in dispute by Flynn, his lawyers or the Justice Department.

The deal for him pleading guilty meant he was shielded from more serious charges related to undisclosed foreign lobbying. Will those charges now be pursued?

By this DOJ? Not bloody likely. Should they be? Yes, perhaps by the next administration.

the FBI had a transcript....there was no need to ask/investiagte...there was no predicate for the "interview"......it was NOT illegal....the FBI admitted they went around regulations to hold the meeting...there were NO MORE charges but the "gov" threatened his son and he was going BK, but you know that.....

Since we're now all about revealing intelligence publicly, why not declassify the contents of this phone call?

Does Judge Sullivan read SupCt decisions? Last week SupCt held using amici was “drastic departure” and “abuse of discretion.” Why amici for @GenFlynn now when Judge refused Flynn friends amici 24 times. Judge shld be removed from case...then from Bench. #obamagate #maga

I see that The Young Turks finally delivered your talking points today.

His answer: No.

Truth: Yes he did, only in passing while requesting that the Russians not escalate tensions. Nothing whatsoever was offered in return.

Did he lie to the FBI about it on january 24th 2017? A lie requires intent. Misstating a detail about a conversation in what you think is a casual conversation about potentially classified matters that you have no idea whether they have the requisite need to know is not lying for all of these reasons.

Is lying to the FBI obstruction of Justice? Yes it is if, and only if, it is about a material fact that would reasonably influence the direction of an open, relevant investigation.

Did Flynn plead guilty? Yes he did. So? At issue, which you typical of your canned talking points ignores is the reasons for the plea, whether he was given truthful information to make an informed decision about whether he actually did, or did not commit the described offense and all of the valid reasons he has to withdraw the plea. You don't get to point to an illegally obtained or false confession as evidence of anything.

All of these are facts not in dispute by Flynn, his lawyers or the Justice Department.

No, the deal was his son was to be shielded from trumped up charges of violatingFata, after the had already bankrupted Flynn. Also, the deal called for no jail time, which prosecutors reneged on, thereby avoiding the agreement, in any case.

Try again tomorrow with hopefully better talking points.

Try to keep up with the class. The contents of the call were leaked by one of the 16 people who unmasked it, including Joe Biden, to the press before the ambush of Flynn was dreamed up. Also, planted in the press by Comey was the (true) statement that there eas nothing problematic about the call. All this was done so that:

A) Flynn would talk to them at all about an otherwise classified call

and

B) So that he would be relaxed about the interview that was disguised as a casual conversation, let his guard down, and say something at odds with the call the agents already had the full transcript to.

you forgot to say

the agents that AMBUSHED, err, interviewed Flynn said he didnt LIE

Was Flynn mirandized: no

Was Flynn's phone call with Kislyak lawful: yes

Did the FBI declare no crime committed: yes

Was there an absence of predicate for investigation: yes

Were the questions asked not material to the investigation: yes ( entrapment )

Did the FBI want to close the case: yes

The crime here is the fact that Flynn was unmasked and classified material was leaked to the press by an Obama employee to create a false narrative that a crime was committed and falsely accuse Flynn of colluding with the Russians. Leaking classified material is a felony. Just the tip of the iceberg. Flynn was charged with a process crime which was a set up.

They were also part of an agreement not to charge his son with stuff he did. Any other than a Barr DOJ would now be going back to charge the son as Flynn reneged.

None of this flimflam changes that Flynn worked for foreign governments without declaring he was doing so while he was in a position in the U.S. government to benefit those foreign governments--and actually did it. He's guilty of federal crimes and he pleaded guilty to it. He's a traitor to the United States.

Not to mention the "edited" 302.

Oh look who’s plagiarized Derpy’s trademark line. Is that the words or the narrative?

Is there any truth to the rumor that Flynn was working as an agent for Turkey while he was Trumps National Security Advisor?

Did Flynn register as an agent of a foreign government while he was acting as a foreign agent of Turkey? Is it a felony not to do so?

I think they're using the John Kerry rule now.

None of the libs here want to talk about Pelosi's affair with Kislyak, I've noticed.

Now here is the real question. Was the alleged lie "material" to the FBI investigation? Answer=No. End of story. The fact that he was coerced to plead guilty has already been established by evidence before the court.

Lying is lying.

Just like you lying every day by denying that you are vetteman, vetteman. Only it's not a federal offense when you lie like the coward you are here.
It is however if you were to do so to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

But as long as it's fearless leader or one of his cronies, you dont give a goddamn fuck about the rule of law, do you?

Lying is lying.

Nobody lies like you do, stupid. The crime of lying to the FBI requires the lie must be material to the investigation. Flynn was not being investigated for a crime related to his call to the Russian ambassador which in itself was quite legal.

"The false statement must be "material" in order to be considered a violation of the law. A statement is “material” if it has the "natural tendency to influence or [is] capable of influencing, the decision of the decision-making body to which it is addressed." United States v. Gaudin, 515 U.S. 506, 510 (1995). Lying about what you had for lunch would likely not count as “material.” Lying about the last time you spoke with the individual under investigation likely would."

Why isn't BND concerned about the Biden lie
where he said he was Sgt. Schultz?

"I know nothink!"

This is the guy he wants to be President
and he's not taking him seriously...
