Does anyone in their right mind believe Pelosi should be president?

Yes. Several bartenders formed a super PAC to support Rep. Pelosi's daily drinking efforts.

That isn't the question. More avoidance. Typical. :)

According to the succession law, if Trump passes and Pense does too, then it Pelosi, period end of story, irrelevant of what state of mind you are in...:D

See no deflection...

This assumes Pense doesn't appoint a new VP, I would suspect...

Ok. To play along with your exercise in semantics, would she make a good stand in president? :)

If Pence dies first then Trump appoints his VP and the Senate confirms it. It doesn't HAVE to be Paleosi and if the Senate doesn't confirm whoever it is, Trump's pick doesn't become VP.

If Trump dies first, Pence becomes President and HE gets to pick his VP, the Senate confirms.

It is only when both die in office without nominating a VP that the Constitutional hierarchy comes into play.

I have no clue, nor do I care. My issue is with Trump...he is the idiot, thief and liar in chief, doing what I see as irreparable harm to the US as in it's people and reputation.

Thanks, I was not really clear on this, it does seem kind of a hypothetical design to cover if both the President and VP died simultaneously.

Here's another one for you: If the election is not held before inauguration day next year for any reason, it will be President Pelosi taking over.

How many presidents has the US survived just fine? The president is always 1/2 demon and 1/2 savior, depending on which party you ask. :)

Yes. I see your tiny hard-on for Pelosi. :)

My understand is that is not the case, since she is up for election too, and her term will expire. Some Senior Democrat takes over as I recall....

There has never been a President in modern times like Trump, don't go thinking the rest of the world has not paid attention to what 1 election can do to 70 some years of cooperation.

The President Pro Tempore of the Senate is next in line if the Speaker isn't eligible. Right now that's Grassley.

Sounds like California need to gear up for an all-mail-in ballot. Matter of fact, all the blue states should do that. Then, when the Fall wave of COVID-19 takes place, the deep south and heartland will be faced with the Wisconsin scenario.

What can you say, it's all hardball politics. :)

Carter was much worse for different reasons. As far as the rest of the world goes, they are only interested in what the US can do for them. Wake up calls can certainly be intrusive. :)

What can you say, Democrats are always looking for new and innovative ways to engage in wide-spread voter fraud. :)

Sounds about right.

If all else fails there is always that "overlooked" box of Dem ballots in the trunk of some Democrat poll-workers car.
