It's not hard. A true stable genius would be dealing with the pandemic instead of denying it.

A real President would provide guidance, stability, and moral leadership. They would provide actual information, instead of miracle cures. They wouldn't bury reports and stifle health experts and fire scientists who tell the truth.

The more the Idiot denies and lies, the more he hurts the economy.

The fact is the market plunged each time the Orange Idiot opened his stupid yap at the beginning of this crisis. His obvious lack of competence scared the crap out of everyone. The market is supposedly his strong point; he couldn't even convey the basic confidence needed to stabilize it, because he's an idiot.

It's not too late. If a real Plan came out tomorrow confidence would rebound. All anyone wants is the Pandemic dealt with. Instead, the Idiot is doing the total opposite. OPening up too early which is going to cause another cycle of surge and lockdown. And if he doesn't plan for the surge in the Fall, it will be another plunge.

Just to trigger some fragile feelings, imagine how Hillary - Merkel collaborative world leadership of this crisis would be looking like.

Looking at how various countries have ended up till now, the best way seems to be those who early on started serious contact tracing. Lockdowns, a case can be made it maybe indeed wasn't as decisive, although sure helped, and I would say it definitely made contact tracing and quarantine isolation easier, and simpler.

Then, we still have a year at least to go until vaccine is available and distributed to a level that makes difference. Probably next to irrelevant for US by then, if natural immunity is a thing you over there at current rates will be closing in on herd immunity threshold already. We here are concerned that we are dealing too well with the first wave and wouldn't have any herd immunity and wouldn't be able to maintain the level of vigilance. It will be interesting to see how various countries adapt to the "new normal."
