CDC Data: Average age of those who have died from COVID-19 in U.S. 75

The average age of Americans who died from COVID-19 between February 1 and May 2 is 75, according to an analysis of a provisional data set published by the Centers for Disease Control’s National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) on Wednesday.

The data set published by NCHS, Provisional COVID-19 Death Counts by Sex, Age, and State, include key demographic information for the 44,016 COVID-19 deaths for which information has been “received and coded” as of May 6, the date of publication.

It's hardly news, though the "reporters" haven't been reporting it. You'd think the China virus was equal opportunity, but comparatively speaking only a handful of those 25 and younger have died of the sickness.
In other words, we could have saved all these draconian shelter in place rules and tightened visitation at nursing homes and been much better off.
We would still have an economy.

The U.S. has been poorly served by the media and CDC for not clearly stating the obvious, that COVID 19 is deadly to the elderly and those who are already ill.
And Trump should be held to the same standard for not clearly stating those facts.
