We will have a few cold fronts come through over the winter. Sometimes when they come from the North West instead of southwest they find unusual corridors to blast through. I had an 5m frangipani tree split in half and 43 meters of fence down the side went down.

We get a few through every year. Most are fine. Once in a blue moon there is a bit of damage. It's a windy coast so everything is built for it. Sometimes a quick blast sneaks through and you have to retrieve your washing from down the street or further.Glad that you and yours escaped the storms without injury.
No not yet. It is autumn now, but will be 25-26C during the week, so beach weather until mid June probably. Mid June to Mid August is what we call winter.

We were only a few days ago skinny dipping in the pool after a bbq and a few drinks.
Fast forward to tuesday night and I was back in the pool in the middle of a storm trying to rescue the pool cover and its steel winder from the bottom after it got picked up and thrown across the yard.
A bit of destruction about the place. The side fence is probably an insurance claim. There are a few people seeing into the place until its fixed. Branches were down and flying around the area. 120kmh winds came in from the north west and the waves were 8 meters on shore even the next day.

It's still holding in there. Hopefully a bit more mileage left in the tread but who knows what way it will go.

Sometimes white sometimes black sometimes every other colour.
Probably not but he could tell a good story. He copped plenty of eye fulls over the years coming around the back to play with the dog, or going to a hot spring with us all in Japan. He could weave it into the conversation. I miss him a lot actually, a real man's man in the best meaning of it.
