Yeah I have some celery I refreshed in ice water. But I didn't cook it or dip it into ranch (blarg). I filled it.

I pretty much only use it when cooking. I have, on occasion, used the leaves in place of parsley. I found that celery leaves taste a bit more 'soapy' than good old italian parsley.

When I was a kid, I ate it raw and naked. I still do when I'm cooking. The leftover junks find their way straight into my mouth. My mom pushed raw veggies like it was crack back then. I guess they were cheap. A vegetable try at family functions will be devoured minutes after it hits the table. Thanks mom.

peanutbutter actually works pretty well, but that coolness of cream cheese is more complementary, imo

used some of the christmas cheeseball in celery over the winter holidays, and that worked fab... the bits of nut, chilli peppers, other cheeses *nom*

Ranch is that standard and it's all good if that's all there is, but my joneses lean on spicy hummus or baba ganoush.

I love to use the celery leaves in soups and sauces - even dressing/stuffing. And they're also very good in things like potato, macaroni and chicken salads.

I like to fill it with chicken or tuna salad. Lately I've been making a radish dip that tastes good with celery, but it's basically fancy cream cheese.

I don't like celery - virtually no calories and no taste.

Besides which, I was put off as a child. One of my mother's cousins used to have a small shed on wheels that was the outside toilet in her garden. It was sited above a trench and moved along as the trench filled up with bits of newspapers and soil from a bucket.

Next year, where the trench had been was used for growing celery!

Never raw, for me, but I agree when it's cooked, the smaller it's cut, the better.

Adrina, I had to go with another option...with ranch dressing. I also like to eat carrots with ranch dressing as well.

Celery with peanut butter is also delicious as well, but I will give ranch dressing an edge.
