Story about an all-female clan who can mind control but became slaves?

I'm looking for this story I read years ago. I want to reread it but I couldn't find now. I'm a silent reader and only became a member because I really want to find it. Wonder if anyone can help me?

I vaguely remember it about a clan of priestesses who got conquered and became slave to an all-male clan. This all-female clan can mind control and one of them became the general's slave. She had to wear some kind of gold bracelet and anklet to prevent the mind control. Later on in the story, she became pregnant by the general and they had to hide it. Otherwise, it would be a big problem. Nearing the end, the slaves would help the all-male clan to win a war.

I tried googling it for some time now but still couldn't find it. Help?
