teeAhee, I applaud your persistence regarding the “helping how?” and the “breaking what rules?” Sadly, I’m not sure you will ever get a straight answer. Just like with all types of societies, there seem to be certain “cliques” on these boards and, aside from creating some downright annoying threads, they have a tendency to keep a lot of shit just amongst themselves like it’s some secret fraternity of douchedom.

Another question I have, and have had for YEARS when I was just a lurker, is why on earth all this sociopolitical stuff is allowed to stay here on the General Boards. Why not export all that crap to the the Politics section or give them their own section where they can banter, snipe and kibitz about stuff that a lot of posters, myself included, care nothing about. If I wanted to read about half the stuff they start threads on, then bicker back and forth about, I’d go to one of the news websites or pick up a newspaper. I come to this place to escape the real world rather that have people constantly start up new discussions about stuff that has zero to do with sex or sexy fun.

Practicality doesn't register with old, dying, progressive snowflakes whose first move is always to government or other mommy figures to establish safe places for him simply because he's too pathetically weak to just ignore what he doesn't favor.

why not just use the ignore function and shitcan all of the people you don't want to have contact with?

Only if it suits you.

There were several posts that broke rules in certain porn threads.
You didn't report THEM, you chose to masturbate to them.

Luckily, other regulars of those threads reported them, and those posts were swiftly removed.

There was a time when this board was filled with all sorts of creative, non-political posts. There were political posts, no doubt, but they did not overwhelm the board. People talked about music, movies, cars, books, sex, you name it. They flirted. It was a dynamic place filled with some truly brilliant, creative people.

I can't recall exactly when the tone shifted. Maybe it was when Obama was elected. Regardless, the outraged, entitled conservative posters slowly sucked the air out of the board. There are still some truly brilliant, creative people about, not doubt. But the place is a shell of its former self.

It's just as easy to ignore the board as it is the posters. And that is what happened.

Lots of people on here have met in real life. I've met several Lit members face to face...and have even attended four gatherings of several Lit members.

Granted, nobody would want to meet the shit-stains of Lit, but others do indeed get together.
