Well, kind of. The plain truth is that there aren't too many places to actually go right now that aren't your home. Public parks are mostly still open, but when we have a nice day here, they get crowded in a way that ordinarily wouldn't draw much attention, but now folks are a little worried. Ohio got around to closing its most popular state parks because they were getting overwhelmed with visitors, many of whom aren't working at the present time.

People aren't getting arrested for being in a crowd. I believe the idea is to use persuasion in dealing with random gatherings of people, like you see with children and teens (and I've noticed that parents aren't doing a lot of social distancing enforcement with their kids). We live near a high school, and the tennis courts over there, which are open to community use on nights and weekends, were packed yesterday. I guess the nets provide enough social distancing?

It seems that "stay at home because you don't want to get the disease" is a better persuader than "stay at home because you may be asymptomatic yourself, and you don't want to be a threat to others." This is still America, after all.
