Interesting anecdote from the NY Times yesterday about the coronavirus in Georgia.
The heavily populated Atlanta area is tops in coronavirus cases, as you would expect. Unexpectedly, lightly populated Dougherty county in the extreme southwest corner of the state has the highest infection rate per capita...and strangely enough, virtually every coronavirus sufferer happened to be black.
It seems someone with a very active case of coronavirus attended the lengthy "homegoing service" (funeral) of a popular local pastor. 28 people immediately came down with corona symptoms afterwards and the virus spread outward from there exponentially.

Kemp is a brand new Governor. By the time he's up for re-election this shit will be a distant memory and not even that for a lot of people. Unlikely that this one event will hurt him long term.
