US confirmed coronavirus cases cross 100,000: tracker

WHo's failing BIGGLY?

DJT, DJT, DJT!

The United States now has more than 100,000 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus, a tracker maintained by Johns Hopkins University showed Friday.

There have been 100,717 cases including 1,544 deaths as of 6:00 pm Eastern time (2200 GMT).

The biggest cluster by far is in New York, home to almost half the cases, overwhelming the hospital system.

12-7-41 Death toll 2200!

9-11-01 Death toll 2800!

How many will Trump have sent to the Happy Hunting Ground by November?

‘We have entered a recession’: IMF chief offers warns of economic ‘sudden stop’ worldwide

The coronavirus pandemic has driven the global economy into a downturn that will require massive funding to help developing nations, IMF chief Kristalina Georgieva said Friday.

“It is clear that we have entered a recession” that will be worse than in 2009 following the global financial crisis, she said in an online press briefing.

With the worldwide economic “sudden stop,” Georgieva said the fund’s estimate “for the overall financial needs of emerging markets is $2.5 trillion.”

‘Unacceptable’: Dems fume after Trump announces plan to refuse congressional oversight of corporate bailout funds

“This is a frightening amount of public money to have given a corrupt administration with zero accountability.”

Progressive lawmakers on Friday evening denounced President Donald Trump’s intention to disregard provisions in the just-passed coronavirus relief bill that would provide crucial oversight of $500 billion in taxpayer money already poised to be a “Wall Street slush fund.”

Mar-a-Largo does too need $100 Billion to keep it's greens cropped so DJT can golf while the country suffocates!

Saudis not bowing to Trump admin pressure to end oil price war

Riyadh declared an oil war after Moscow refused to back a proposal for deep output cuts to offset virus demand blow.

Saudi Arabia said on Friday that it was not in talks with Russia to stablise crude prices despite overtures from Moscow and rising pressure from Washington to call a truce in an oil price war.

A three-year supply pact between the Saudi-led Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its allies led by Russia fell apart earlier this month after Moscow refused to support Riyadh's plan for deeper production cuts to offset dwindling demand resulting from the coronavirus pandemic.

However, Saudi Arabia's latest move has put Washington in a difficult position. Its battle for market share has led to very low prices, but also undermined the US shale industry, which has much higher costs than Saudi or Russian production.

The US administration is facing multiple calls to save the highly leveraged shale industry, which has borrowed trillions of dollars to allow the country to become a large oil and gas exporter despite often uncompetitive costs.

A group of six US senators wrote a letter to US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo this week saying Saudi Arabia and Russia "have embarked upon economic warfare against the US" and were threatening US "energy dominance".

Frackers can not compete, so the Market must be rigged to help the USA!

#TrumpGenocide trends as Americans grow increasingly frustrated with president’s coronavirus failures

As America crossed the grim milestone of 2,000 coronavirus deaths, President Donald Trump was harshly criticized on Twitter for his handling of the health and economic crises.

Frustration with the president was prominent on Twitter, with the hashtag #TrumpGenocide trending nationwide.

Here’s some of what people were saying

Today 112,468 people in the US have #COVID19
Within a few weeks it could be 10 times more. The worldwide mortality rate is around 4.8%, so 53,984 people will die.

53,984 people

And Trump wants to withhold medical aid to governors who aren't "appreciative" enough. #TrumpGenocide

Trumpski is diverting aid from the "unappreciative"!

When will Mike 25th his ass?

Experts pour cold water of Trump’s proposal to lock down New York with a two-week quarantine

On Saturday, President Donald Trump raised the possibility that he might impose a quarantine on the states of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut to contain the spread of coronavirus. But his suggestion has not met a receptive audience from experts.

Conservative Naval War College professor Tom Nichols pointed out that Trump doesn’t have the authority to order such a quarantine in the first place. And former White House Press Secretary Joel Lockhart noted if it did happen, it would be stunningly authoritarian.

Dumpy would do it unless someone points out the November is his reckoning, and it might not look too good if New York were an apocalyptic hell hole!

Just four weeks ago Trumpy said the virus was stopped!

Do you think he lied or was just 'misinformed by his minions"?

:D:D:D

‘A quarantine will not be necessary’: Trump backtracks on plan to lockdown New York area

President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that he would not go forward with his plan to quarantine the states of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

“On the recommendation of the White House CoronaVirus Task Force, and upon consultation with the Governor’s of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, I have asked the CDC to issue a strong Travel Advisory, to be administered by the Governors, in consultation with the Federal Government,” Trump announced on Twitter.

“A quarantine will not be necessary,” he declared.

Very gracious of him. He did not say that he had no authority to do this in the first place and second, he is a fool dodging about trying to avoid blame for that greatest fuckup in the new century!

Pelosi drops the mic on Trump over his COVID-19 pandemic failures: ‘As the president fiddles, people are dying

Appearing on CNN’s “State of the Union” with host Jake Tapper, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was unsparing in her criticism of Donald Trump and spoke bluntly of his failures to deal with the coronavirus pandemic.

“First let me say how sad it is that ever since the president’s signing of the [stimulus] bill, the number of deaths reported has doubled from 1,000 to 2,000 in our country,” the California Democrat began. “This is such a very, very sad time for us. So we should be taking every precaution. The president? His denial at the beginning was deadly. His delaying of getting equipment to where it — his continued delay in getting equipment to where it’s needed is deadly.”

Dithering:eek: Donald Drops ball!

CNN’s Cuomo destroys Trump for cutting off aid to governors he doesn’t like: ‘This is not about you’

On Friday’s edition of CNN’s “Cuomo Prime Time,” Chris Cuomo tore into President Donald Trump for attacking Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) at a time when her state is in dire need of federal help amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“Governors all over the country are echoing the cries of the sick, the scared, the desperate on the front line, and the president’s response to their calls for help? Ask nicely,” said Cuomo, playing a clip of Trump at the day’s press conference.

“Mr. President, this is not about you and how you feel. It is about us,” said Cuomo fiercely. “Lead for all, follow the better minds around you or get out of the way. This is not about left and right. It’s not about your feelings. It’s about being ready. We have no more time. It is time for us to demand actions and act ourselves. As ever, as one.”

Come on Mike, the 25th awaits!

Dr. Fauci Warns Coronavirus Deaths In US Could Top 100,000

So worse than 9-11, Pearl Harbour, the Viet Nam, and Iraq War combined? Very cheerful Dr.

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. government's foremost infection disease expert says the United States could experience more than 100,000 deaths and millions of infections from the coronavirus pandemic.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, speaking on CNN's “State of the Union” on Sunday, offered his prognosis as the federal government weighs rolling back guidelines on social distancing in areas that have not been as hard-hit by the outbreak at the conclusion of the nationwide 15-day effort to slow the spread of the virus.

“I would say between 100,000 and 200,000 cases,” he said, correcting himself to say he meant deaths. “We're going to have millions of cases.” But he added “I don't want to be held to that” because the pandemic is “such a moving target.”

Illinois governor says he’s taking over testing after ‘millions of tests’ never arrived from White House

“Right now, all of the experts point to 10,000 tests to the standard that we need to achieve,” he said in prepared remarks on Sunday afternoon.

“Again, I want to be frank with you,” he continued. “Where we are now is not where I want to be. Every day we aren’t hitting 10,000 tests or more is a day we are not able to get answers to get past this current crisis. And to be clear, the loss of essentially the entire month of February in the effort to scale up robust testing and the exponential spread that followed was a profound failure of the federal government.”

"I'm from the Trump Administration and I'm not gonna help at all!":D

"I'm not a shipping clerk. I also have no problem lying about what I have in the storehouse or am ever going to buy and ship."

Florida residents pack into megachurch after pastor promises he can cure coronavirus

While scientists and doctors are urging people to social-distance to stop the spread of the coronavirus, one Florida megachurch bucked the trend to host their own service on Sunday that packed people in with a dangerous crowd.

The River Church in Tampa was packed with people looking for hope, TMZ reported Sunday. Pastor Rodney Howard-Browne has denounced the social distancing claiming that he can cure the coronavirus just like he did with the Zika virus (which still exists).

Deluded masses still support Grifters!

Internet stunned after ‘sociopath’ Trump brags his pandemic press conferences are getting ratings like ‘The Bachelor’ finale

According to the president’s tone-deaf tweet issued when the mortality rate from the COVID-19 virus is accelerating, “Because the ‘Ratings’ of my News Conferences etc. are so high, ‘Bachelor finale, Monday Night Football type numbers’ according to the @nytimes, the Lamestream Media is going CRAZY. ‘Trump is reaching too many people, we must stop him.’ said one lunatic. See you at 5:00 P.M.!”

People only tune in to see if you will expire on camera, Asshole!

‘Unconscionable’: Trump moves to take away land from Mashpee tribe — whose casino plans irked president’s ‘special interest friends’

The tribal chairman said the announcement came “on the very day that the United States has reached a record 100,000 confirmed cases of the coronavirus.”

The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe vowed Friday to fight for its land after the Trump administration announced its reservation would be “disestablished” and its land trust status removed.

Rep. Bill Keating (D-Mass.), who last year introduced legislation to protect the tribe’s reservation as trust land in Massachusetts, called the order “one of the most cruel and nonsensical acts I have seen since coming to Congress.”

The legislation has stalled in the Senate, the congressman said, since “President Donald Trump tweeted his opposition in an attempt to assist his lobbyist and special interest friends.”

Among the projects put into limbo with the order, as the Cape Cod Times reported Saturday, are “the tribe’s plans to build a $1 billion casino in Taunton, which was part of a yearslong litigation that led to the questioning of whether the tribe qualified for land-in-trust status.”

“The planned gaming operation,” as HuffPost noted Sunday, “would have competed for business with nearby Rhode Island casinos with strong ties to Trump, who once owned, then bankrupted, casinos in Atlantic City, New Jersey.”

‘The greatest risk factor of disease and death is Donald Trump’: Forensic psychiatrist

The final death toll from coronavirus will not be the result of viral disease; it will be the result of mental disease. The greatest risk factor of disease and death is not being considered, and that is Donald Trump. If he continues in this presidency, he is on course for having three main effects: First, he will make a deadly pandemic much worse. Second, he will stoke divisions between “believers” and “unbelievers” in his alternative reality. And third, he will vastly augment suffering, which he will be tempted to direct into widespread violence.

Trumpski will promote the Second American Civil War? Cadet Bonespurs will send his BIkers and Rednecks out to be slaughtered while saying he's stopping a Revolution when it is the Revolting Rethuglicunts.

How Germany is managing its coronavirus epidemic, and reacting with disdain to Trump’s policies

What I saw while there is that Germany’s population is in a state of shock and still can’t quite grasp how this sudden turnaround of their lives happened.

Only some two weeks ago, life seemed to proceed in a fairly normal way despite the looming crisis which appeared to be unreal and far away.

So far, there have been almost 65,000 known cases of COVID-19 in Germany, with the populous state of North Rhine Westphalia and the city of Hamburg particularly badly hit. So far just under 600 deaths in total have occurred from the virus in the country.

The solid and publicly funded German health system is also credited for Germany’s relatively low death rate. There are over 28,000 intensive care beds with sufficient respirators available at German hospitals, more than in most other parts of the world.

However Trumpy is trying to recruit German Scientests to come to the US and develop a vacine for him. Germans are not thrilled.:)

REVEALED:
Jared Kushner firm built coronavirus website Trump promised Google was building

More details about Donald Trump administration’s haphazard response to the COVID-19 pandemic were revealed in a bombshell new report published by The Atlantic on Monday evening.

“On March 13, President Donald Trump promised Americans they would soon be able to access a new website that would ask them about their symptoms and direct them to nearby coronavirus testing sites. He said Google was helping. That wasn’t true,” The Atlantic reported.

“But in the following days, Oscar Health—a health-insurance company closely connected to Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner—developed a government website with the features the president had described. A team of Oscar engineers, project managers, and executives spent about five days building a stand-alone website at the government’s request, an Oscar spokesperson told The Atlantic. The company even dispatched two employees from New York to meet in person with federal officials in Washington, D.C., the spokesperson said. Then the website was suddenly and mysteriously scrapped,” the magazine reported.

The Atlantic noted. “The ad hoc nature of Kushner’s task force has already collided with federal laws. Oscar’s involvement deepens Kushner’s ethics and conflict-of-interest problems.”

I love it when a Trumpkin trips over his own dick in cleats! Don't you? :D:D:D:D:D
