I usually keep Lit open (it has kept me going so far), but in the middle of the call I lost the 'net. I got it back but had enough trouble following the meeting, answering stupid questions* and logging back in to my remote. Tits would have made it easier, but I can only multi-task so much.

*Don't let anyone tell you there's no such thing as a stupid question. If I have answered it five ties in the last week, it IS a stupid question.

oh now no internet, that is an emergency. and oh, I am getting a ton of stupid questions. I am backing up escalations for the unhelpful desk. all my projects are postponed, so my job is now only fixing what breaks, which isn't all that much this time of year, but we have 10,000 employees who don't work from home, now working from home, meaning the unhelpful desk is getting buried. so if tier 1 doesn't know fast, they tier 2 it, and same with tier 2, except tier 3 is a hodge podge of random techies with cancelled projects working as the most overpaid tech support ever lol. today my favorite was a man who plugged his Ethernet cable from his input on his phone, to his output on the same phone and was surprised he has no dial tone.

On the positive side, I am meeting lots of new people, they are all in a great mood, and having some fun conversations. It is mostly call center employees now working from home and not taking calls because their equipment is down. I think they are purposely hooking it up wrong and enjoying the long holds of the unhelpful desk. haha.
