What Are You Listening To Now? 6.0

Opus Eponymous

Ghost

Depending on which "era" of Ghost you like the best, try your luck with Portrait, Beastmilk/Grave Pleasures (basically the same band) or Idle Hands. Also, especially on this first album, Ghost heavily channel the Mercyful Fate spirit. MF's "Melissa" and "Don't break the Oath" are must-listens if you like this style of music. And all of King Diamond's solo work if you can stand the mighty falsetto. :)

Thank me later ;)

I'm in a math-y mood today.

Tesseract - One (especially track 4)

Spenser Confidential

Really what I'm doing is watching it, but of course the music is good. Starting with a couple Boston needle drops, then Ben E. King's Supernatural Thing, then some other stuff, then Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline.

And, OMFG, looking ahead, Lowell George's Willin'.

I'm in heaven here just after the Irish bar scene on St. Patrick's Day.

They made a fuckin' Spenser movie! With Marky Mark!

Is That So

John McLaughlin

Until the end of April McLaughlin is making this, his newest album, free to download as something positive to do during virus isolation. You can get it through his bandcamp page.

Hope and a Future

Neal Morse

Neal Morse through his Radiant Records label created and is offering this collection for free as well to stem the fear and hopelessness caused by the current virus.

Now I'm watching an episode of Longmire

And Bad Company's "Can't Get Enough" came up.

My wife and I are borderline hikikomori anyway, so we hardly need to change our habits. The panic shoppers are our biggest issue. People are rude at the best of times and now they're rude and desperate. Not a good combination.

But hamsterkauf is such a good word.

On the whole I am not a fan of the general populous, but yeah I am thoroughly disgusted right now.
I went out to get cat food yesterday to find a barren aisle way.....Cat food. Why?

It’s an old school morning.

Fuckwitmeuknowigotit Jay-Z and Rick Ross (Magna Carta: Holy Grail album)

Pearl Jam's new album is out in a few days. So far the first few songs I've heard, I don't really care for. Maybe they'll grow on me.
Here's the first single if anyone cares to sample it.

The sounds of a quiet house. My family going quietly about their nocturnal motions. Tea cooking, people showering, animals making sleepy noises in the paddocks. A television chattering to itself in the lounge room while i make tapping noise on this silly laptop. The sounds of normal in a very panicked world.

Little treasures in uncertain times.
