2019 awards

Just thought I'd mention, because I'm not sure how many people who post here regularly look at the contest page too.

The nominees for the end of the year awards are out and several regular posters are nominated either in story categories, special awards or both.

TarnishedPenny has stories in three or four categories (I lost count, )
Vix_Giovanni has at least one story and a nomination for most helpful editor.
Ogg, TxRad, MelissaBaby, RejectReality, and BrokenSpokes all have nominations. And those are just from the categories I looked at, which was fewer than half, I think.

Now, my motives aren't completely pure, because one of my stories made it into the BDSM nominations. But I'm mostly posting this so that we can support each other. I'm not trying to form more cliques, and I'm well aware that the voting score doesn't necessarily reflect the craft or care put into a story.

But since they're up there, I thought I'd mention it.

Mine in Non-Erotic has two votes. Me and some other idiot.

I've already been through the list and marked my choices. Everyone in the AH gained a vote. I only had to make a hard choice in one category where there were two from here in the same category. They are all good stories.

My other criteria for voting was no votes for chapters in a story contest.

It's waaaaaay down toward the bottom in the story category for BDSM. Orrrr here


I easily voted for yours, because I remembered all but one of them and remembered how much I loved them.

I caught it right as it went live. I was the first vote on the all the ones I voted on. Several categories left where I didn't recognize any of the stories, so it will be a matter of whether I have time to check them out.

It was a bigger surprise to see that I was nominated for Best I/T and Most Literary-Genre Transcending. I feel honored, too, especially to be on this list of friends and great talent, and excited to check out other nominees' stories that I haven't had the chance to read yet.
