Why have Republicans stopped bragging about the stock market?

If it ain't grown.....it's mined.
And, if it's grown, it's done with equipment made from materials that were mined......just like everything else.

Preaching to the choir man.

I'm a farmer who gets called a Nazi for asking these big city genius Eco-Jihadis what the fuck they plan on eating after they ban petroleum products.

Unlike Renaud I understand that without people like you doing what you do in your industry I don't have a whole host of supplies for mine.

Fuck those guys in Idaho working on a cobalt mine start up.

That's really just the core of the left.

They hate working class Americans, especially when they earn themselves a sweet slice of the dream.

I could go on....but why bother......

The guy thinks communism is the right ideal (equity is prosperity)

And no, not only are equity and prosperity not mutually exclusive they generally go hand in hand. But we're done, you're immune to facts and everybody knows it.

and unions were a successful labor model despite their demonstrable failure to do anything but destroy/abuse/corrupt the companies and markets they sought to control.

He's a freedom and liberty loathing communist....must suck to be living in the mecca of liberalism (proper liberalism) and capitalism.

Ugh...and that damn democracy shooting your proletariat revolutions down time and time again, lame.

Your PTSD is errantly showing again.

Wrong again. And....Powder River is not the only coal on the planet. Trying to figure out your fascination with that.....inexplicable.

Read, stupid. You failed. You are a leftist talking point in action.

I said, that coal was written a premature death sentence. It was NOT left to fade off in the sunset, because it is 'obsolete.' It has been under attack.
And it was Obama, who had HIS EPA, regulate it to death.

Now....enter Trump. He makes drilling easier to do. He unwinds bullshit regulations slowing it down, and what do we get? More natural gas. You would think you would like that.....but you are too stupid to know what is good for you.

The point is, coal DID NOT die on it's own. It was killed, starting with Obama. Would it have happened naturally, with directional drilling, fracking, and the elimination of redundant regulations? No doubt.
But that is not what happened.

And now.....coal isn't even dead yet, but leftists like you, stupid green-dream leftists, who would cut their own throats, are wanting to ban drilling on 'Federal land', and ban fracking, everywhere.... on top of that.
The very thing, which has put the USA in the lead at reducing the 'dreaded scourge'..... you call of carbon emissions.

Must be tough to be so ignorant, and so stupid, as to do nothing what is repeated in the media, about what is really going on.
But hey.....you are good at stupid. At the head of your class in that regard. The only regard.

Yes. Blame Obama. Don't worry, good old clean coal is making a comeback. And I'm the one repeating a mantra.

Plus, I never made any mention of coal bad. I only mentioned the scrubbers that had to be fitted once the grandfather clause ran out. It's just the way it is. It will never be what you want it to be no matter how many times you gurgle it out.

I never said coal would make a comeback. Please get your shit together.
I said, it should have been left, to let the market let it go peacefully.
A whole lot less coal miners would have not lost jobs. They would have gone away to attrition. Many would retire. Some would move on. Importantly, not herds of men being layed off.

And yes.....Obama deserves a shitload of blame. He used the EPA as a weapon, to push it along faster than it should have been.

But as typical of the left, if they don't like the particular line of work you have, fuck 'em, all of 'em. Or as Hildebeast said "We're gonna put a lot of coal miners out of work!"
Go talk to the Navajo Nation about that. And the Hopi. Look for the wood smoke coming out their chimneys.....it's their dining room table and chairs most likely, as they try to stay warm.

Tolerant and compassionate......indeed......

No. It can't be. It's too late. Our government simply pushed coal people, off to the dust bin of history.
And they didn't have to.

Sorry you don't understand that.

You have really got to work on your comebacks, brosef.

On a related note, Cumback is also what I call your mom.

It was my line of work. It still is in minimum capacity. I have working knowledge of what happened and how it happend, and first hand knowledge of what happened to those industry workers. They are my friends and family in some cases. Don't lecture people on what you think we think.

Obama Era changes aside. It was dying. Renewable is more profitable, and they can meet the demand. Sorry about the Navajo people, but if that's your only point, then you need to get a little more in touch with reality.

I'm not lecturing. I'm stating fact.
And I said, yes, coal was losing out, to other forms of energy, but to deny Obama pushed it, so it would happen faster, and is happening faster, is a lie. And you know it.
You miss that part, where I said 'let the market decide?' You obviously did miss it.
You....don't care. That also appears to be a fact.

And the Navajo, and the Hopi.....just a couple of casualties, that you don't give a flying fuck about, because "reducing greenhouse gases", is more important to you, than people, and their livelihoods.

And that is what you think. No one has to be a rocket scientist to figure that out.

Setting up for a potential blood bath tomorrow.

Dow Jones futures tumbled about 4% vs. fair value, while S&P 500 futures dropped about 4.2%. The Nasdaq 100 futures slipped 3.8% vs. fair value.

...Just because it came from the powder River Basin doesn't mean it's low btu. It was one of the highest btu coal out of the river basin.

LOL. Nice squirm; unfortunately, you're going to have to keep squirming.

"One of the highest BTU coal out of the" PRB (a universally well-known low BTU resource [why do you think PRB coal is labelled sub-bituminous ? ]) ain't sayin' much.

...You dipshits can read all you want ABOUT coal fired plants and their fuel. I worked next to the power plant employees when coal was king. I also worked next to them when wind and solar became a cheaper and cheaper fuel [only because of massive subsidies and tax credits— according to no less an authority than Warren Buffett]. Forced to burn gas... What a joke. Those plants put billion dollar scrubbers to be able to burn coal when Obama EPA regulations took effect. They burned coal. Well into the Trump Era...

Thank you for that "blinding glimpse of the obvious."

...you think these giant power companies care what fuel they consume for the purpose of selling electricity? Whatever is the cheapest...

No shit, Sherlock— ANOTHER "blinding glimpse of the obvious."

...coal is dead because it's an out dated fuel source..."

This would be amazing news and a real revelation to Germany and Japan (both of whose coal consumption is virtually identical to what it was a decade ago). In fact, the only reason the lights stay on in Germany and Japan is because of coal-fired electricity generation.

It would also be news to China, India, Kazakhstan, Russia and South Africa where coal consumption is either equivalent to what it was a decade ago or has had substantial growth (as is the case for both China and India)

BTW— the last time I checked, Germany, Japan, Russia, China and most of India were all located in the Northern Hemisphere.

Man's gluttonous and iniquitous worship of Mammon and Pluto in the wake of forsaking his appointed stewardship over the green growing fruits of Earth has aroused The Beast. Signs and portents abound in the air, I have seen them. Ill tides wash upon the shores, I have smelled them. Rumblings tremor beneath the soil and rock, I have felt them. A gyre most foul is churning that we will not be able to escape, much less stop.

The End Times are upon us, as prophesied in The Good Book.

...also prophesied in The Bad Book, but...we don't read that one too much, understandably. Children started having bad dreams about evil clowns, dogs barked irrationally at unplugged vacuum cleaners, cows stopped giving milk...really freaky deaky shit went down, I'm telling you.

Futures hit a "limit down" circuit breaker earlier when they hit a loss of 5%. Gains from yesterday should be wiped out pretty much at opening.

I expect the first circuit breaker within minutes of opening.

Govt creates news...just to get the market to respond. The sharks buy cheap...ride the one day increase...and sell at the end of the day. Rest of the week is just a reflection of reality for everyone else. Recession? Not good enough. Trump wants history. We gonna see a depression if we arent careful

If the government does not invest massively and extremely quickly in personal protective equipment for health care workers, all these penny-ante cash infusions to individuals will only lead to more sharks capitalizing on the daily cycles of emotional response in the market, with an overall trend of market decline if the health care system can't keep up.
