Why have Republicans stopped bragging about the stock market?

Did you even read what I wrote?
No....you couldn't have.

And FYI, my specific industry, is doing better all over the US, not just Nevada.
A lot better.
A shitload better.

And, you should be damned glad.

There is no individual industry that I give a shit about or have any real reason to give a shit about, and yes I read what you wrote. You said mining, FUCK MINING.

That's too bad you think that way.

Mining is the oldest profession you know.

So its a specific industry, and if it happens to be coal, an industry that really needs to be destroyed but Trump has chosen to support. That at least lines up.

I have never heard of good Ol Nevada coal. I do wonder if there are any viable coal deposits? I spent many years close to the coal and power industry. Even if they deny it, coal has been dead for at least 10 years. Now the coal fired power plants are gasping their last breaths. Plants stopped with preventative maintenance many many years ago. They are just waiting for those massive boilers to rust and fall apart. Sucky part is, those were good, steady jobs for us. Now the coal loadings have dropped almost out of site. Such is life.

There's coal....and there's everything else.

No....there have been, and are still, viable coal deposits.
When your own government, makes it so expensive, and impossible to mine it, or use it for fuel.....guess what happens to it? Would you like the Obama vid?
When you spend all your money, adding pollution controls, what money is left for maintenance, and upgrading equipment?
It would have faded away on it's own, with directional drilling & fracking for natural gas but nooooooo....not good enough, or fast enough, for the leftists.

I don't do coal. But I know a lot about it.
I'm a hard rock guy.

I understand where it comes from, mostly the powder River baisn. Some of those strip mines are down to dirt. Take the Black Thunder mine for instance. 10 years ago, it was some of the highest BTU coal in the country. Now, their lucky to get 1/4 out of a burn. Dirt cheap, but that's what it is.

I was talking about coal mines in Nevada. I have never heard of any coal to speak of coming out of there.

Many of the old coal fired plants have made the necessary upgrades to convert to gas. Even that isn't much good with the boilers and generators reaching or past their 40 year life span.

No coal mines in Nevada.
Suggest you read a bit.....there's coal all over the US, and mine-able.

Many converted to gas, because they were forced to. Basically, couldn't afford not to.
And, I suggest you take a look at Reid, in Southern Nevada. It was not at the end of it's life, but it was shut down.
And Valmy. It's going to be shut down soon, but again, it's not at the end of it's life, and was even updated not long ago.

Are there some that are at the end of their life cycle? Yes. But many.....are, and were not.

And if you care to know what happens when you kill off coal fired power plants, AHEAD of their life-cycle, go to northern Arizona, and talk to the Navajo, and the Hopi. 20% of the Navajo Nation's revenue, came from the power plat by Page. 80% of the Hopi, got their's from same power plant.
Not only is the revenue killed, but their jobs are gone, and the coal mine that supplied the plant is down. And many indirect jobs gone too.
Just happened, many heated their homes with coal from the mine. It's gone.
Now....many are burning their furniture to stay warm this winter.

There is plenty of coal.
You are just repeating lies of the left, to support your green bullshit.
And you don't know shit about reality.

That's too bad you think that way.

I doubt its even in the top ten oldest professions. Even if it were that seems like one more reason to work on retiring it.

As for Obama, we've all seen the video but I've yet to see anybody point to the actual legislation he got through in regards to it. It's been three years plus since he stopped being president so surely the Republican Congress that did everything in its power to carry water for him is no longer under his sway/

Question to your first point: What do you think all those ‘gold diggers’ were after? (And I ain’t talking about the miners)

To your second point: He didn’t use legislation. He used unelected bureaucrats and regulation.
Ever heard of the EPA?
Congress? CONGRESS? We don’t need no stinkin’ congress!

LOL he says from a device, in a building, over a network all made possible by mined materials.

Fuck mining? If you really believe that you can move out into the woods/jungle and live primitively.

But you won't....we know why :D

I doubt its even in the top ten oldest professions.

Next to whoorin', logging, farming and soldiering it is arguably one of the very very oldest. And absolutely a major chunk of the foundation of modern life.

Even if it were that seems like one more reason to work on retiring it.

You want 1st world living? You want technological advancement? Modern Medicine??? Then there is no retiring mining....not even remotely close.

Almost everything you own, use on a daily basis and facilitates life outside of chasing pigs through the jungle and living in mud/grass huts to the ripe old age of 28.... started with mined materials. The rest came from a logging camp or an oil field, you probably want to retire those too and send humanity back to the stone age don't you??

Market predictions for Tuesday folks? Futures indicate an "up" day after yesterday's Trump selloff. Whipsaw city, up, down, up, down.

This much volatility isn't good.

I wonder how many millions Barrister Timmeh will have claimed to have made today?

Last night the futures were up in about the mid 600s. Now mid 300s. I am expecting another down day because the news is not going to get better. Not like yesterday but still down. We'll see.

I think it will finish positive today, but that depends on any breaking news and Trump's mouth. I'm predicting up by at least 600. But because things are evolving so much still, it could just as easily be down 600 or more.

In other words, fuck if I know. *shrugs*

Futures are down even more. We'll see what happens at open.

We'll just have to wait for Barrister Timmeh's market predictions. I'm sure he'll be around shortly after 4 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
