i slept on both of these and in the mood to binge a comedy. i'm catching up on Brooklyn 9-9 (love it!)

which one? i plan on watching both eventually.

This sort of what-shall-I watch-on-TV, pop-culture fluff suits you, Luk.

Much better than when you flounder with political commentary.

you do realize that your whole chinomerino no-capitalization formatting is pointless, right? lol :)

I'd watch the first 3 seasons of Community and all of Parks & Rec — though the first season, before they really got a fix on the characters, was kind of uneven.

q you have accused me of being 3 different people just today. sad!

it's quite comical when you try to insult people who are up on popular culture. no one comes here to watch you flounder about in the political threads. 😉

accused "you" (as in luk) of being three different people? oops. lol :)

probably a good plan. i watched the first episode of p&r and wasn't very impressed but i had heard that awhile ago. thanks!

I agree with this. Overall, Parks & Rec is the much better show. The first season struggled to find its footing, but don’t skip it because you get a lot of throw back jokes to things from season 1 as the shoe progresses.

Community’s first few seasons are great, but it fizzled pretty hard after 3.

Never seen community and only watched about half of the first season of parks and rec. After reading the comments here tho I'm thinking I gave up on parks and rec too soon. Maybe I'll go back to it whenever I get caught up on shows I'm more interested in. A little behind on brooklyn 99 myself. Just recently caught up and finished the good place. What a depressing ending. I know they were going for upbeat but to me it was a downer.

community. and i mildly disagree about just watching the first three seasons. the fifth season is alright though there are a couple blah episodes after donald glover left and what'shisface was never a replacement for chevy chase.

the sixth season is pretty good in my opinion. it's definitely not as good as it was at the shows peak, but i liked it. sure, it helps that i have a bit of a crush on paget brewster, but it's still a solid season of television.

i just binged and caught up with brooklyn 9-9. it's probably one of my favorite shows ever and the guest starts are always on point.

looks like i will start with community. 😉

For me, it’s COMMUNITY all the way. When it was firing on all cylinders, it was legitimately the funniest show on TV at the time. I mean, how could you not love the paintball war episodes or the darkest timeline episodes. As an added bonus, it was the proving ground for the Russo Bros. who went on to fame and (lots of) fortune with the MCU. And if that weren’t enough, I got to ogle these two lovely ladies every week...

Those ladies were definitely a highlight. I still have a huge crush on Allison Brie because of Community (oh what a day when those pics leaked...)

i am loving community! you can relate to and appreciate every character. in the middle of season two. 😎

Be sure and keep us updated on historical pop culture. You know, in case Rip Van Winkle wakes up.

prepare yourself for the fourth season. even brie larson being all cute and shit isn't enough to make it anything beyond frighteningly mediocre.

it's like a competent, but boring fanfic.

i love the dude who took over for chevy but that role might not have been a great fit but he had some cool moments. hell i liked him back when he was the bad guy's henchman in the first beverly hills cop!

i really liked both of them. i thought community was fantastic and wasn't that hyped about p.and.r but it came on strong after the first couple episodes. both were very entertaining :) can't wait for the special tonight.

also just finished it's always sunny. that show is all sorts of fucked up and awesome :D

Pop culture commentary was always your best subject, Luk!

Well that or hair products. I shouldn't leave that important contribution out.
